I joined this Organization undertaken by Government of India as a Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) and inducted into
Quality control department (Purchase & Store). Worked as quality control engineer trainee. I Was trained to do the
inspection of indigenous material or bought out material, in compliance to Test certificate of BHEL and IBR specifications
and to approve the same for the next product cycle (to assembly unit) to facilitate the piping arrangement for Boilers.

 Roles / Responsibilities as Sr. Project Engr. / Design Engr. / QS & Tendering Engr.:

My primary job functions are proper coordination, notification, follow-up and achieving end results towards the project
completion/handing over. Below listed are my interpersonal (managerial/technical) skills with cross functional teams and
or with its members:

 With Tender / Estimation team: Preparing take-off and BOQ for complete mechanical systems such as ducting,
chilled water system, plumbing, firefighting, LPG, Fuel oil, medical gas, compressed air, lab gas, steam, pneumatic
tube, clean agent, aerosol; raising technical queries for any ambiguities / discrepancies, Preparing draft contractual
letters for project manager, notifying or giving pre-alerts to director regarding the contractual and commercial
milestones/forecast/actual for projects, assisting tender estimation/bidding department in scope evaluation and risk
analysis for new bids, coordinating with all intra and inter teams within the project - for smooth operation of project
planning, control & action phases and external/outsourced subcontractors, preparation of executive summary of new
project bids for management approval.

 With construction team: Fire Fighting - Compile and review of post tender quantity take-off, Placing order for
materials as per latest contract documents/prepared shop drawings, supervising construction team progress and
giving weekly lookaheads, following up for timely material delivery as per baseline program requirements and testing
of mechanical works and handing over of the work-fronts for other sublets, coordinating with
client/designers/supervision consultants/ main contractors for project progress and site accessibility / logistics and
coordinating and managing mechanical specialist system subcontractors, Coordination of MEP services on and off
site as required.

 With planning team: Fire Fighting - Assisting planners in preparation of baseline program and recovery program
(EOT) if delays incurred on the project completion and updating the project progress to schedulers for monthly
billing / Interim Payment Applications (IPA), notifying planning manager about time/cost impact upon receipt of
revised design drawings/instructions from Client/Designers.

 With Engineering team: Fire Fighting - Reviewing the design drawings, raising RFIs for any ambiguity, missing data,
non-conformance with local/international codes, preparation/submission/approval of shop drawings by managing
group of MEP Draughtsman for site execution, Preparing BOQ For each systems upon approval all shop drawings,
preparation of impact report on revisions of design drawings (comparative study), notifying the cross functional team
such as site execution / procurement team regarding the changes in the design as a pre-alert information, verifying
the design specified pump head and flow will meet the requirements of the project for plumbing and HVAC systems;
verifying the FM200 agent cylinder capacity for the rooms protected by the same, verifying the drainage and water
supply pipe sizes as per sanitary fixture load, verifying the sizes of forced mains, verifying the sizes of AC drain pipes
and verifying the Fire Fighting sprinkler and standpipe design, fire pump/tank layout design as per NFPA; preliminary
check for HVAC systems; Preparation, coordination, submission & obtaining approval of material technical submittals
related to MEP systems such as Plumbing, Fire Fighting, specialist systems & General items. Preparation of post
award (as per approved shop drawings) BOQ for Plumbing & Fire Fighting systems for budget / cost control purpose.

Material inspection approvals, mock-up installation and work inspection approvals with consultant upon completion of
piping works and its testing,
