IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN

GOD’S NEIGHBORHOOD
Hi Friends,

I am so excited to share with you what is coming up at the end of

November! This is going to be so much fun - and an awesome opportunity for
us to invite people to check out our church, and be inspired to deepen their
relationship with Jesus Christ! Here’s what’s happening:
This is one of

message, and On week one, Nov. 17th, we’re going to focus on how WE
can view our lives as a MINISTRY in the name of, and for
to experience the sake of, Jesus Christ. On week two, Nov. 24th, we will
the radical investigate how we can live a “life of Christ-like love”
while living in a time and a culture filled with people

community! But wait, there’s more! Both Sundays are going to be “Bring
1
a Friend to Church Sundays.” This is a perfect opportunity for ALL OF US to
invite family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors to join us for two fun days of
worship. On these two Sundays, all guests will receive a welcome gift (a
welcome card, a $5 gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts, and a list of all upcoming church programs and events!) Friends,
This is one of the best opportunities you’ll ever have to invite your friends, family and loved ones to encounter the
gospel message, and to experience the radical hospitality we all strive to offer the people of
this community.

I would encourage you to INVITE, INVITE, INVITE! Invite as many people as you
possibly can, because this is going to be two really fun and encouraging Sundays!

But wait, there’s still more!! To wrap up this two-week sermon series, we are going
to do a church movie day at Pocono Cinema (directly across from the church) on
Saturday November 30th, at 4:00pm. What will we be
seeing? You guessed it—the new Mr. Rogers movie: A
Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, starring Tom Hanks.
This is ANOTHER great opportunity to invite your family, friends, and
neighbors! Pocono Cinema has offered to provide us with discounted pricing
for this event, so the movie will cost you only $7 per person. To ensure we
do not have to turn anyone away on November 30th, there will be an RSVP
signup table, in Oberholtzer Hall, every Sunday in November. Signups will
operate on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, if you are a family with
young children, please know that free childcare will be provided at ESUMC
during the movie.

Friends, I am so excited to see how God will work in our lives through the sermon
series, through the movie day, and through this opportunity for all of us to invite
family, friends, co-workers and neighbors to these events! In all of this, God will be glorified,
Christ will be glorified, our faith will be strengthened, and we will have the opportunity to step out in faith by inviting
people to come hear about the Godly wisdom found in the ministry of Mr. Rogers. Have a great week!
