OBJECTIVES :
To impart the knowledge on the concepts of basic manufacturing processes and
fabrication techniques, such as metal casting, metal joining, metal forming and plastics
component manufacture.
To expose the various manufacturing methods employed in industries.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
After successful completion of this course the students will be able to:
1. Explain the various casting processes (Understand)
2. Apply the basic knowledge of welding and select appropriate welding method (Apply)
3. Clarify the different bulk deformation processes (Understand)
4. Explain the different sheet metal forming processes (Understand)
5. Discuss the various manufacturing methods for plastic components (Understand)
