Health Teaching
I. Topic : Providing health education among senior high school students on STI prevention.
II. Description :
This lesson is intended to provide the clients with information on sexually transmitted diseases including its common types, how it is spread and
ways on how to protect oneself from acquiring it. STDs are illnesses that can be transferred from one person to another through intimate sexual contact.
This includes vaginal and anal sex, oral sex, genital touching, and the use of "sex toys" such as vibrators. Incidence and prevalence estimates suggest
that young people aged 15–24 years acquire half of all new STDs and that one in four sexually active adolescent females has an STD, such as
chlamydia or human papillomavirus. With the help of health teaching, an increased emphasis must be placed on preventing transmissions among
individuals.
