INTRODUCTION

This practical intend to study one teacher training college during

this practical I visited Rayreshwar Dongari Vikas Parishad Adhyapak

Mahavidyalaya B.Ed College of Education, The purpose behind this study is

to gather detailed information about the functioning of the college.

During this practical I visited all departments in the college. I

came to know about various departments and the way they function during

this practical. The purpose of this practical is to gather information about

curricular and co-curricular activities conducted in the college.

Need

The need of this practical is to gather the detailed information about the

college. It is needed to do this practical as during the practical I could gather

information about the various curricular & co curricular activities conducted

in the college, which will help to guide others for selecting college if somebody

wish to get and join teacher training college.

Sir Anantrao Thopte, the former education minister of Maharashtra is the President of this
education society. His kind contribution in the field of education is worth – mentioning. His
enhanced influence in the remotest and farthest corner of this hilly region is praise worthy; He
has come forward to eradicate illiteracy for the years from this rocky land and has
enlightened the youth yielding a bounteous harvest in the field of education.

ABOUT COLLEGE

Raiareshwar Dongari Vikas Parishad was established in 1991, by


hon. Anantraoji Thopte with a wider objective of bringing about
intellectual awakening and transformation in educational, economic,
cultural and social fields, in Maharashtra (India). The emphasis has all
throughout been on the all round progress and welfare of the weaker
section of the society.
VISION

To become the center of academic excellence in

teacher education through Quality teacher education programme at par

with the national and international standards and inculcating cultural

and ethical values in youth.

MISSION

Our Mission is to contribute to the national programme of

providing graduate trained educational man power through prescribed

training programme of B.Ed. & to provide competent, capable,

committed, trained, Ideal teachers to the emerging Indian society


ABOUT RAIARESHWAR DONGARI VIKAS PARISHAD
Our college was established in 2006 under Rajgad Dnyanpeeth’s, Bhor, and
was known Rajgad Dnyanpeeth’s Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya, Dhankwadi, Pune.
In 2013 the college was transfter to Raireshwar Dongri Vikas Parishad, Bhor.
This Trust works in the same campus and is owned by the same authority. The
founder President being Hon. Anantraoji Thopte (Ex. Minister of Maharashtra
State)

Raiareshwar Dongari Vikas Parishad was established in 1991, by hon.


Anantraoji Thopte with a wider objective of bringing about intellectual
awakening and transformation in educational, economic, cultural and social
fields, in Maharashtra (India). The emphasis has all throughout been on the all
round progress and welfare of the weaker section of the society.

To impart dynamic education was the motto and dream of our Founder
president Hon’ble Anantraooji Thopte. That has motivated to establish a
professional Education college in rural area, in the year 1990.

Rajgad Dnyanpeeth is providing education to students right from the primary


level, to the post Graduate level. It has enlightened the minds of illiterate
people.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF B. ED. PROGRAMME:

 To enable the student teacher:


 To integrate the study of subject knowledge, human development,
pedagogical knowledge and communication skill in student teachers.
 To promote capabilities for inculcating national values and goals as
mentioned in the Constitution of India.
 To act as agents of modernization and social change.
 To promote social cohesion, international understanding and protection
of human rights and rights of the child.
 To become competent and committed professionals willing to perform
the identified tasks.
 To use competencies and skills needed for becoming an effective
teacher in a normal setup and in an inclusive setup.
 To understand, develop and apply various evaluation procedures in
education.
 To be sensitive student teacher about emerging issues such as
environment, population, gender equality, legal literacy, critical
understanding of ICT, Yoga education, etc.
 To inculcate rational thinking and scientific temper among the students.
 To enhance professional capacities like reading and reflecting on texts,
understanding of self, understanding the use of drama and art in
education,etc.
 To become competent and committed professionals willing to perform
the identified tasks.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

A candidate should have passed the Bachelor's Degree/Master Degree of Pune


University or of any other recognized university, with at least 50% marks and
should have offered, at least one school subject at the first and/or second
degree level as principal or subsidiary or allied or optional subject. (School
subject means the subject included in the syllabus of secondary/Higher
secondary level in the Maharashtra State.) Relaxation of 5% marks is given to
the candidates belonging to S.C. & S.T. and other notified categories as per
Government Rules.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Admission to the eligible candidates will be given as per the selection


procedure laid down by the State Government of Maharashtra from time to
time.
ELIGIBILITY NORMS FOR APPEARING B.ED. EXAMINATION

Student teachers should have to keep two terms with at least 80% attendance
at the periods in college of both the terms. He should have completed all the
practical and other work expected in all the four parts of the syllabus up to the
satisfaction of the Principal. She/he should have obtained such a certificate
from the Principal of the college. Without this certificate, he will not be
allowed to appear for university examination.

 Placement Cell provides following services-

 Organization of lectures by expert.
 Mock Interview sessions. Dissemination of placement related
information. (Display vacancies, display newspaper advertisements,
display articles / information/ newspaper cuttings on teaching skills.)
 Kavita Hadawade taken demo lesson on DD Sahydri channel 2013-14.

 Special emphasis on use of IT by students.
 Lecture series arranged by Adult, continuing Education and extension
department of Savitribai Phule Pune University.
FACILITIES
Building and Infrastructure

The college is housed in a well ventilated,


fully furnished building with all the required
infrastructure such as Lecture hall, Method
rooms, Curriculum Laboratory,Art and Craft
resource center,Physical Education Resource
Center,Separate Common Room for male
and female students, Visitors room, Staff
Room, Library cum Reading Room etc. the
library is well equipped with books, journals
and periodicals .The college has well
developed computer laboratory and internet
facility.
ICT Resource Centre

Our computer laboratory is well equipped


with 19 computers and 1 Printer. Students
can do computer related Practical work
(T.B.T.) Project work is prepared by pupil
teachers by selecting one or the other
method of specialization. Presentation is
done in the presence of school students. Lab
is well equipped with UPS.
Gym

‘Health is wealth’ as per this thought college


has huge well equipped Gym Hall containing
indoor games material & where one can get
fit physically as well as mentally too.

ET Lab

We have well equipped Educational


Technology lab.Teachers and students also
used this equipments for effective teaching
and learning.
LIBRARY CUM READING ROOM

The library is located at the center block of


the college, having area 1000sq.ft.with
separate reading hall facility. Its mission is
“To provide updated and comprehensive
information from Education field� .It has
sitting capacity of 100 students in reading
room .Library is equipped with 3500 number
of book with number of titles 1100. Library
consists 86 number of reference books like
encyclopedias,dictionaries,updated research
volume of M.B.Bouch,documents ,reports
etc.Every year Library subscribes 25
different National and International
journals including NCERT and NCTE
journals to update educational information
Multipurpose Hall

A large Multi-Purpose Hall is the center of


considerable activity and has facilities for
indoor events, meetings and performances.
Other things which get conducted in a
multipurpose hall is like college events,
sports events, Cultural Activities,
Seminars,Workshops,Symposium etc.
Art and Craft Resource centre

arts education can imbue in young people a


sense of the satisfaction that comes from
working to create something, the ability to
use and understand language effectively,
and a profound sense of ‘the values that
permit civilized life to go on’. Art nurtures
inventiveness as it engages students in a
process that aids in the development of self-
esteem, self-discipline, cooperation, and self-
motivation. Art and Craft Resource center of
our college is furnish with different types of
papers, Acrylic colors,and essential material
to provide different experiences in Arts and
Crafts.
Curriculum Laboratory

There is a separate laboratory of Curriculum


resources. The laboratory is well equipped
with the material & apparatus required for
the Curriculum understanding of different
subjects. A good number of material is
available in our curriculum laboratory ,
which are used to enrich comprehension
regarding relevant subjects.
Physical Education Resource Centre

Students enjoy sports. To satisfy their needs


regarding sports, the college has taken care
of making available the sports material.
Different kinds of indoor sports material like
Chess, Badminton, Carom board, etc. are
made available, as well as the equipment
required for outdoor games like Cricket,
football, Shot-put are also available for the
students
Hostel

College running a hostel separate hall boys


and girls with all inner facilities. It provides
healthy, hygienic food it have capacity of
200 student each.

VISIT TO SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS

Visit to various social organizations like orphanage etc. are organized in which

all the activities are planned by students they take various games and cultural

activities for children living there. Students spend whole day with those

YOGA AND MEDITATIONS

To increase the power of mind and to develop balanced mind, body and

personality, yoga and meditation session are organized various yogic

exercises and ASANAS are taught to students. Also meditation session is

organized to increase their concentration and mind power.

SPORTS

In door and out door sports events are organized in order to develop

sportsman spirit and team spirit amongst students


COMPETITIONS

Various competitions like Rangoli competition, fancy dress competition,

cooking competition etc. are organized by the college which gives the chance

to students to show their inner talents.

ANNUAL CULTURAL EVENT

A cultural event is organized by the college in which students perform dance

skit, songs etc.

SOCIAL AWARENESS

Various events like trees plantation wet garbage processing etc. are organized

by the college to spread the social message amongst students and make them

aware about social problems and issue.

FIELD TRIPS

Field trips are organized by the college in which students get a chance to visit

some historical place and enjoy together.

MY OPINION

It has been observed from this study, that the total impact of the
educational activities carried out by the college named Rayreshwar Dongari
Vikas Parishad Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya B.Ed College of Education,
Pune is very good and effective.

This college has very good infrastructural facilities like library,


computer lab, gym, hostel, ICT resource center etc for students.

In my opinion various curricular activities organized by the


college are very good and helpful for student’s together knowledge

The principal and professor in college are very knowledgeable


and enthusiastic and always ready to impart their knowledge to students and
motivates the students for there career.

The various co-curricular activities organized by the college are


very good. They really help students to develop various qualities like
leadership, time management, inner talents etc.

Various social activities organized by the college are very good as


they help to develop social awareness amongst students.

In my opinion, overall taking education in this college would be


really a fun and enjoyable activity.
