Mercury Drug Foundation

 Operation Bigay Lunas


- Mercury Drug gives out free medicines and medical services to
underserved barangays in the Philippines. The program was
first conducted in 1999, since then, it has been done by the
company year-round with the help of local government units
and other healthcare volunteers and professionals. They aspire
to make healthcare closer and accessible to needy Filipino
people. Aside from the free medicines and medical services,
they also establish disease prevalence in the communities and
provide them with actionable healthcare data.

 Operation Pa-Tubig
- The program provides clean potable water that are safe and
easy to access in waterless communities. With the help of this
CSR, health and sanitation, and living conditions of the
beneficiary communities are improved. Water needs of
Filipino people for drinking, personal care, and household use
are fulfilled.

 Bantay Kalusugan
- This program promotes the early detection of chronic non-
communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity,
and high cholesterol level through free health screening,
medical counseling, and educational health lectures in urban
poor communities.

 KidSigla
- The program aims to reduce the malnutrition cases of children
in the country. Feeding modules dedicated for undernourished
children are distributed and accomplished in selected
communities for six months. Parents are being engaged in food
preparation and the children are monitored for their improved
weight changes.

 Bantay Kalusugan Smart Parenting


- This program wants to educate women in marginalized
communities about responsible parenthood, women’s health
and hygiene, and children in order to reduce the cases of
childbirth and maternal mortality.

 Help Stop NCD


- This CSR activity promotes walking and running as a preventive approach to
non-communicable diseases. Participants collectively learn and do
exercises.
 Pharmacy Scholarship
- This program aims to alleviate the low number of pharmacists
in the country. It helps financially-challenged pharmacy
students enrolled in the member schools of the Philippine
Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (PACOP) by covering their
tuition and miscellaneous fees, and food and transportation
expenses.

Gardenia

 Nutrisyon at Kalinisan para sa Maayos na Kinabukasan


- In partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Laguna Chapter and Department of
Education Division of Laguna, advocates to educate children on healthy eating habits and
proper way of handwashing. This year, the CSR activity was conducted on San Pedro
Central School.

 Annual tree planting


- Fifty Gardenia employees helped in planting 2,000 guyabano and narra tree seedlings in
Brgy. Cansuso, Cavinti, Laguna. This is the company’s way to give back to the community
and the environment. Aside from the annual tree planting, Gardenia has been also active
in tree-caring programs.

 Nutrition Assistance Program


- This CSR program aims to reduce the problems of elementary school children who come
to school without having breakfast. They conduct lectures on the importance of eating a
well-balanced meal. The program includes feeding programs and a three-month bread
supply to selected pupils.
