START – UP INSTRUCTIONS:

• The rotary blade vacuum pump is supplied without lubrication oil inside the
tank. We recommend for the lubrication the use of ”Battioni Pagani Pompe
Vacuum Oil”, a low fumosity oil, specifically studied for our products. Do not
use hydraulic oil for lubrication.

• Before starting the rotary blade vacuum pump, make sure that the P.T.O.
shaft turns freely and that the direction of rotation is the same as the one
indicated by the arrow.

• Do not use the rotary blade vacuum pump at pressures, temperatures,

times higher than those indicated in the instruction manual for use and
maintenance. During use do not exceed the speed and power limits set in
this manual. Do not overload the machine or suddenly engage the P.T.O.

PARAMETER WORKING RATE MAXIMUM RATE

Revs M,K [rpm] 450-500 600

Revs MA,P,D,H,KA [rpm] 1000 1200
Pressure [bar] 0,5 - 1 1,5
Vacuum [bar] 80% 95%
Temperature [°C] 60 - 70 90
Standard blades time [min] 3-5 6-8
Long life blades time [min] 6-8 15

• Under no circumstances must liquids, dust or any kind of solid matter

enter the rotary blade vacuum pump because they could cause it to break.
Therefore it is necessary to equip the system with safety valves.

• All maintenance operations, inspections, checks and repairs must be

carried out with the greatest care and with the rotary blade vacuum pump
off and the P.T.O. disconnected. More technical details are available on the
“Instructions Manual for Use and Maintenance”, here attached.

• If the tanker has not been used for a long time period, make sure that the P.T.O.
shaft turns freely and flush out the pump with 200 ml of diesel oil as described
in the instruction manual for use and maintenance. After this it is also important
to set the oil dropper fully open for 20 seconds (forced lubrication MEC 8000)
or pour 100ml oil on the exhaust elbow (automatic lubrication) with the pump
set to spread. This will ensure good lubrication of the vanes prior to working
with slurry. Then Reset the dropper to the correct rate.
