SPECIMEN : SERUM
TEST(s) RESULT(s) CUT- OFF VALUE
Syphilis (T. Pallidum) Reactive Cutoff rate: 1.00
Patient Rate (S/CO): 9.52
NOTE:
Test to be considered "Reactive" if patient S/CO is greater than cut off.
Test to be considered "Non-Reactive" if patient S/CO is less than cut off.
COMMENTS:
Syphilis TP assay is a chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) for the qualitative detection of antibodies to
Treponema pallidum in human serum. Syphilis TP assay is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of syphilis infection and
as a screening test to prevent transmission of Treponema pallidum to recipients of blood, blood components, cells, tissue and
organs.
If the syphilis TP results are inconsistent with clinical evidence, additional testing is suggested to confirm the result.
METHOD:
Test is performed on architect instrument employing chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA).
