    FEAST OF SAN LORENZO RUIZ, MARTYR

    Induction of SYM LEADERS, CATECHIST

    INTRODUCTION
    “I am a Christian and I shall die for God, and for Him, I shall give
    many thousand lives if I had them.”
    The magnitude of faith of St. Lorenzo Ruiz was captured in these
    famous words of his. Only if so much as adeep experience or a special
    encounter with Christ, can a person bodly proclaim his/her faith.
    Today, let us be one with the Knights of the Altar and the Liturgy
    Committee as we witness their commitment for a life of service. Let us ask
    God in this Eucharistic Celebration to grant them the strength to fulfill
    God’s will in joyful commitment and fidelity to their daily duties.
    Through the intercession of St. Lorenzo Ruiz and his companions, let
    us heed to the challenge of the Church to relive our deep experience with
    Jesus and to make alive the Gospel values. May this encounter with our
    Eucharistic Lord sterngthen us in our serivce and mission of proclaiming
    Christ.

    PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL


    Priest: Grateful to the Lord for his patience with us in spite of our
    unworthiness, let us address to him our petitions for all the
    intentions dear to our hearts. Let our response be:
    WE BESEECH YOU, LORD, HEAR US!
    1. For all believers throughout the world: May they bravely persevere in
    doing good in spite of all the evil that surrounds them. Let us pray
    to the Lord.
    2. For the Holy Father and all other Spiritual leaders: May they continue
    to be our inspiration and support in the quest to fill the world with
    God’s love. Let us pray to the Lord.
    3. For those who are victims of the presence of evil in our society: May
    their faith in God’s wisdom, clemency and justice be their consolation
    and strength. Let us pray to the Lord.

    4. For all lay ministers, catechists, and educators of the faith: May
    their courage sustain their zeal in making God known to all,
    especially to the marginalized of the society. Let us pray to the
    Lord.
    5. For us, newly inducted members of our SYM groups: May we be one in our
    effort of building communion through loving service to our neighbor.
    Let us pray to the Lord.
    6. For all young people: May they be given the strong will and courage to
    adhere to Christian values and convictions, and the strength to fight
    against all forms of temptations. Let us pray to the Lord.
    7. For all birthday celebrants for the month of September especially Mrs.
    Edna Pineda, Ms. Rosanna Romero, Ms. Arcie Adriano: May they feel
    God’s presence and love in their life. Let us pray to the Lord.
    Priest: God of mercy and justice, help us to weed out the evil that is in
    our hearts and to work for the conversion of those who act under
    the influence of the evil one. May we all persevere in your service
    till we enter the Kingdom in its perfection, where you live and
    reign forever and ever. AMEN.
