Exercises Week 4 Unit 4: Third-Party Processes
EXERCISE 1:
Business scenario:
You want to perform a Third Party Order Fulfillment, in order to source some products directly from your
supplier to your customer.
Exercise goals:
In this exercise, you will:
- Create Third Party Order Sales Orders and Purchase Orders
- Complete the Order processing via the Third Party Order Fulfillment Work Center.
Task 2: Check the Purchase Request created based on the Sales Order
1. Navigate to the Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Select the Purchase Requests view.
3. In the Drop-Down box, select All Purchase Requests.
4. Click on the Icon for Open Advanced filter .
5. In the Process Type, enter the Third Party. The Assigned To field should get set to Sales Order.
In the Sales Order ID field enter the ID noted in Task 1.
6. Click Go.
7. Select the row which appears in the table below, confirm that the Open Quantities column is
showing 0 ea. (This is because the Purchase Order is already created).
8. Now click on the icon , on the screen and select Check Consistency.
9. You will get a message stating ‘Inbound Delivery Notification is consistent’.
10. Click on Release.
11. Click on Save.
12. Navigate to tab Document Flow.
13. You can scroll to the right and observe the Inbound and Outbound Delivery documents have
been created automatically and also released.
