    LESSON PLAN

    IN
    ENGLISH I

    I. OBJECTIVES

    Recognize names of persons, places, things and animals (ENI g – IIIf – h

    – 2.1)

    II. SUBJECT MATTER

    Naming Words

    Teachers Guide: pp116, 120 – 122

    Learners Materials: p. 41 &47

    Curriculum Guide: p. 2

    Materials: cut outs, pictures, real objects

    III. PROCEDURE

    A. DRILL

    Sing a song (Family Finger)

    B. REVIEW

    Let the pupils listen and count the number of syllables as the teacher

    reads the words posted on the board. Say: Clap your hands for each

    syllable we count.

    C. MOTIVATION

    Show picture of a family.

    Say: This is a family. This is father, this is mother, this is brother, this is

    sister, this grandmother and this is grandfather. They are six in all in the

    family. How about you? How many are you in the family?

    D. PRESENTATION

    Today we are going to learn Naming Words.

    E. MODELLING

    The words mother, father, brother, sister are examples of naming words.

    Naming words are names of person, places, things and animals.

    I have here some pictures posted on the board, and names are posted on

    the right side. Listen as I read the words.


    Teacher reads all the words on the board.
    F. GUIDED PRACTICE

    The pupils will read again the naming words on the board together.

    Teacher says: I have here a table. We will put the names of the following

    pictures under each column. Are you ready to complete the table?

    G. INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

    Put a check ( ̷ ) in the box below the picture which shows an example of
