Alliteration Is use for descriptions along with creating attention about a


detailed subject. To gains reader's attention through repetition of a
consonant sound, appeals to the sense of hearing, emphasizes
words, links lines, unifies stanzas, enhances flow of poem.
Allusion To creates the impression that the author and reader share the
same knowledge.
Ambiguity Ambiguity serves the purpose of that the poem have a deeper
meaning. By introducing ambiguity in their works, writers make the
readers to use their imagination to explore the different meanings.
Assonance To draws attention to particular words or lines through repetition
of a vowel sound, appeals to the sense of hearing, develops the
image created by words.
Cacophony Writers use cacophony as a tool to describe a conflicting situation

Ellipses also help in advancing the story. Leaving out a sentence or
an event by replacing it with ellipses is done to save time.
Enjambment Allows an idea to continue to the next line and increases the pace

influence the audience's view by presenting an image, enhances
imagery, creative to use figurative language instead of just literal
language.

the senses often overlooked in poetry’s sound. Appeals toward
