Juan Dela Cruz completed a 560 hour internship at Company Inc. from December 2018 to March 2019 as part of his Food and Service Management certificate program. During his internship, he gained experience in various roles such as buffet attendant, silverware cleaner, and assistant to the marketing sales department. He helped prepare for events by setting tables, pouring drinks, and arranging food. While nervous at first to lead an event without a captain, he drew on the instructions from his supervisor and worked well with his fellow interns. In the end, the clients were happy with the service and complimented the interns, which was an overwhelming but important achievement for Juan's internship experience.

Objective: Immersion Two (Narrative Report)
My Name is Juan Dela Cruz and I am taking a course, Certificate of
Technology major in Food and Service Management in Polytechnic College. I had completed a total number of 560 hours of Industry Immersion two at Company Inc. from December 04, 2018 to March 19, 2019. On My first day as an intern I was assigned for an event of "ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum 2018" at Ateneo De Manila University as a buffet attendant for lunchs and snacks. When we were arrived, the head captain and Mrs. Cha (the account executive) remind us that we need to eat breakfast before we start working. After eating, I started to clean silverware, polishing highball glasses, watering goblets, and sanitizing plates, food pans, and equipment. After that, I prepared clean cutleries and arrange them in tables based on proper setting of dishes. Lastly I took some table napkins and put them in for the complete table settings. Next, I rapidly poured water into food pans and placed all the food into their specified places. I'd noticed that Mrs. Cha is very carrying for the health of guest and she has a goal for having a satisfactory level for every guests. I noticed that the staff and waiters are responsible and nice. They try their best to attain their duties orderly. The next day I was assigned to work in the office. I was in the marketing sales department and every account executive have ojt's assigned as their Assistant. I was assigned to Ma'am May Ann to become her assistant. My tasks are: Photo copying of Banquet Event Order and other documents, creating buffet tags, editing files like proposals, contacts, marketing lists, inventories and I also make a center piece. When I completed my task Ma'am May Ann complimented me for my good work. Once I was assigned to the dining without a captain, I was afraid because only ojt and the waiter who were supposed to be assigned that day we’re beginners and did not have enough experience at all to be professional. Mrs. May Ann handled that event but she wasn't in the office as she had finish her paper work. This was the reason that she wasn't available at the venue. No one is able to lead us yet but because I'm Ma'am Ann's assistant, she has taught me what we'll do first. She gave me the instructions and we followed them... We are all under pressure at times because the client had numerous demands but at the end of the day all our pressure and nervousness turned into joy. The clients were happy and they complimented us for our good quality service. The result was very overwhelming for me because as an intern it was an important task for me. I wouldn't have achieved this feat without my companions if we didn't have the unity we have...
