    Job Profile and Responsibilities:

    ➢ Preparation of welding procedure specification and job procedures


    ➢ Execute the welder qualification test and procedure qualification record.
    ➢ Preparation of Inspection Test plan and Quality assurance plan
    ➢ Execute the QA/QC program exercising professional judgment within the
    broad guidelines as defined in the Quality control, Quality compliance
    and inspection manual
    ➢ Review of QA/QC documents, quality plans, ITPs, method statements.
    ➢ Involved in piping and structural welder test qualifications
    ➢ Visual Inspection of equipment / pipe spools etc, prior to installation at
    site and at Vendors premises.
    ➢ Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges
    have adequate dial range and is calibrated.
    ➢ Witness hydro tests, pneumatic tests, flushing, chemical cleaning, air
    blowing, checking calibration certificate of pressure gauges, safety relief
    valves.

    ➢ Monitor the daily construction activities, perform daily site-inspections,


    and ensure compliance with the QA/QC program, project drawings and
    specifications.
    ➢ Verify proper size, schedule of pipes, ratings of flanges, proper flange face
    and fittings, pipe-supports, hangers, guides are installed according to
    piping isometrics, support drawings and according to the required
    specifications
    ➢ Check flow direction of valves and confirmation of the piping system
    concurring with the flow diagram.
    ➢ Painting and insulation surveillance for piping and equipment.
    ➢ Ensure the compliance of safety procedures according to the company
    and industry standards.
    ➢ Inspection of shop fabrication of piping spools and supports.
    ➢ Visual inspection of weld joints and plant piping, and preparing Punch
    List (A, B & C) attend punch list meeting with client and subcontractor.
    ➢ Witnessing of manifold pressure test.
    ➢ Piping line check, prior to release for hydro testing, punch list
    preparation, punch clearing, confirm repairs, re-testing and re-
    inspection.
    ➢ Measuring the pipe dimension according to ITP. The measurements are
    out of roundness, inside and outside diameter, squareness, peaking,
    radial offset, bevel angle. If the dimension differs from ITP, the problem
    should be rectified.
    ➢ Checking the calibration certificates of the Tools &Machineries related to
    work.
    ➢ Preparation of Conformity and non conformity reports, daily work plan
    reports.
    ➢ Prepared request for Inspection at different important stages involved in
    piping fabrication and installation.
    ➢ Visual examination of weld root, fill up to final aspects and recording the
    reports.
    ➢ Identification and checking of orientation, distortion of pipe spools, before
    release it for painting.
    ➢ Review of the documents for QC activities and test packages. Update all QC
    activities and test packages for the newly installed lines.
    ➢ Preparing the Punch items (before and after pressure test) for each pressure
    test package related to piping.
    ➢ Preparation of Hydro test packages.
    ➢ Witnessing of Hydro test.
    ➢ Controlling the welding of joints according to isometric Drawings and
    checking diameter, thickness, Drawing Number, Class in Welding Progress
    Report.
    ➢ Preparations of inspection report and work completion report for client
    submittal.
    ➢ Involved in preheating, post heating & PWHT of heavy wall & alloy pipe joints.
    ➢ Involved in Hydrogen diffusion treatment& Steablizing.
    ➢ Examination of hardness testing for piping.
    ➢ Involved in RTRP inspection.
    ➢ Preliminary walk down for reinstatement of piping by checking with
    isometric drawings.
