Course Title CALCULUS I Course Code: MATH I
Course Description An introductory course covering the core concepts of limit, continuity and differentiability of functions involving one or more variables. This also includes
the application of differential calculations in solving problems on optimization, rates of change, related rates, tangents and normals, and approximations;
partial differentiation and transcendental curve tracing.

1. There will be two (2) long exams in this course and one (1) final term examinations. Make – up exams will be given provided that the reason for not taking the exam is
excused and approved by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology (CET).
2. Regular attendance is expected. Attendance policy as stipulated in the student handbook will be followed.
3. Rules on making unnecessary noises and loitering on the lobby must be observed at all times.
4. Cleaning up of the classroom and turning of electrical devices after the class is strongly implemented.
