    v Product Description :

    C'POL 331 is a medium reactivity Unsaturated Polyester Resin based on Isophthalic Acid useful for the fabrication of a
    wide range of FRP structures for Chemical Industry. Structures made with C'POL - 331 possess excellent resistance to water
    and host of corrosive chemicals such as dilute acids and salt solutions.

    v Salient Features:
    C'POL-331 is designed to give an optimum combination of performance and economy. The resin has been successfully used for
    the fabrication of many corrosion resistant structures.

    v Physical Properties Of Liquid Resins:


     Colour & Appearance : Hazy Light Yellow Liquid.
     Viscosity @ 25ºC. (cps.) : 350 - 450
     Acid Value (mgs.KOH/g.) : 14 - 20
     Specific Gravity @ 25ºC. : 1.10 - 1.12
     Monomer content (wt.%) : 38 - 42
     Geltime @ 25ºC. (mts.) : 14 - 20
    (*with 1% of Accelerator A.
    and 1.5 % of Catalyst C.)

    *Accelerator A - 3% Solution of cobalt as cobalt octoate.


    Catalyst C - 50% Solution of MEKP (9% Active Oxygen) (Akzonobel Butonox M-50)

    > Use of other MEKP Catalysts or additives may result in different geltimes.

    Catalyst should be never brought in direct contact with accelerator. Explosion is possible.

    Note: Properties are tested in accordance with methods described in IS 6746 -1994.

    v Caution

    C'POL 331 is a material of limited shelf life. Storage at 15-20 Deg.C and low humidity in securely closed containers is
    recommended. Exposure of container to direct sunlight should be avoided at all costs. The material should be consumed as
    soon as it is received, especially when proper storage facility does not exist. Material is guaranteed for a shelf life of 3 months
    from manufacturing date when stored at suggested conditions. Storage at higher temperatures will adversely affect shelf life.
