COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING
Grade 12

I. OBJECTIVES:
A. Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in installing
configuring computer
B. Performance Standard:
The learners shall be able to install and configure computer systems based on
established procedures and system requirements

C. Learning Competency:
Installing and configuring Computer Systems (ICCS)
D. Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, student should be able to:
a. Define system unit
b. Identify the parts of a computer system.
c. Demonstrate the proper procedures in assembling and disassembling a system unit
d. Assemble/disassemble a system unit following the correct procedure;
e. Value the importance of following safety precaution while working.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


A. Content: Assemble Computer hardware

C. Tools and Materials: Laptop, DLP Projector, Cartolina, Marker, screwdrivers, Multi-
tester, System Unit, Personal Protective Equipment

Technology – Computer Systems Servicing (NC II) Module
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preparation:
a. Opening prayer
b. Mood setting
c. Goal Setting
B. Motivation
The learners will watch a video clip of how computer works?

What have you observed in the video presentation?


Activity Proper:
1. ACTIVITY
The first group will assemble a picture puzzle of a system unit and its part.
The second group will arrange the procedures in assembling a system unit and
transform into an infograph.
The third group will arrange the procedures in disassembling a system unit and
transform into a flowchart.
The fourth group will be given tools/equipment and identify what will be used in
assembling and disassembling a system unit
The last group will observe the 4 groups and will serve as the presenters of the
four groups.

2. ANALYSIS
What is a system unit?
What are the tools and equipment needed for assembling a system unit?
What are the procedures to be followed in assembling and disassembling a system
unit
3. ABSTRACTION
Why do we use a Personal Protective Equipment when working?
Why is it important to observe safety precaution in assembling and disassembling
a system unit?
Why is it important to follow the correct procedures in assembling and
disassembling?

4. APPLICATION:
Simultaneous Demonstration.
The teacher will demonstrate the procedure of assembling a computer
together with the selected students following the procedure simultaneously.
