Introduction to Modular Lube

Modular Lube is:

A single-line progressive system. This
system can use oil or grease and is
of the positive displacement design
proportioned through divider blocks.
Because of the unique Modular Lube
Divider Valves this system may be
used on all types of industrial
machinery.
JSG 2004 - 3 3
Built In Design Options
Š When new technology calls for
design alterations, the system
designer can add or delete
lubrication points without disturbing
existing piping.

JSG 2004 - 3 4
Economical

Š Lincoln’s Modular Lube single-line

progressive system requires less
piping and lower tubing costs at
installation - and cost less to
maintain or change when the need
arises.

JSG 2004 - 3 5
Engineering - External Cross
Port Kit

Š This unique feature enables design

engineers to extend any Lincoln
Modular Lube System by simply
removing the by-pass block and
replacing it with a metering valve.

„ Tailored for special requirements
„ Reduce inventory by purchasing
modular components.

JSG 2004 - 3 11
Manufacturing
Š Most of the valves are made in St.
Louis and have extremely tight
tolerances!

Quiz
How tight are our tolerances?

JSG 2004 - 3 12
Manufacturing Tolerances

Š Lincoln has the tightest tolerances

in the industry. (.000005)

Š Watertight

JSG 2004 - 3 13
Advantages

Š Single point monitoring

Š Positive displacement
Š High pressure
Š Oil or Grease
Š Tamper proof metering valves
Š Accepts continuous flow

JSG 2004 - 3 14
Disadvantages

Š No external adjustment at each

point.
Š Large systems are difficult to install.
Š Not easy to expand or install.
Š Difficult to troubleshoot and repair.
Š More complex in design and
operation than a parallel system.

Positive Stall

If a lubricating line plug clogs:

Due to the close design tolerances of
the piston and valve in the valve
body, the system will shut down
when blockage occurs, and has a
alarm system to notify the operator.
