    scrapped or serviced as appropriate.
    7 Tool box talk by scaffolding supervisor, Place the NPC - Scaffolding procedure for
    permit near to work area, barrier and safety scaffolding
    signage placed to prevent persons entering the
    work area.
    8 Erection of scaffolding All NPC scaffolds to be BS 5973, 5974 NPC - Scaffolding procedure for
    erected by competent person. scaffolding
    9 Scafftaq system. On completion of scaffold BS 5973, 5974 NPC - Scaffolding procedure for
    scaffolding
    10 Notify department that will carry out work agree NPC - Scaffolding procedure for
