Gnana Saraswati Temple, Basar , Telangana

History:
According to the mythology,after the great war of Kurukshetra,Maharshi Veda Vyas decided to chose a
peaceful place to perform Tapas and while looking out one for such, he had chosen this place and due to
the several years of worship Goddess Saraswathi Devi turned upon and as per his wish she became
swayambu in Vasara Temple and further blessing the devotees here.

There is a temple for Vyasa bhagawan adjacent to the main temple.And upon the small hill,situated is
the Vyasa cave,where Mahrshi performed years of worship.and Goddess is believed to have appeared
and blessed him in the same place.The cave is so congested to enter into and is highly difficult.
