    1) A soil sample with a diameter of 38 mm and length of 75 mm was compressed in increments and its change in length, load applied, and resulting compressive stress were measured. 2) As the load increased from 0 to 5.724 kg, the strain of the sample increased from 0 to 0.048 and the compressive stress increased from 0 to 4818.28 kg/m^2. 3) A graph shows the direct relationship between increasing compressive stress with increasing strain on the soil sample as it was compressed during the experiment.
