Bizzy Little Mermaids – 2018 Mermaid CAL Pattern Collection 5

Using starting and ending tails, secure clusters together in center of chest, under arm area (hiding tails inside
of mermaid) and, if desired, stich chain strap in center back to secure.

At this point, if you haven’t used safety eyes, embroider your mermaid some eyes. Add a mouth, if desired. It
is easier to finish all assembly / sewing before adding the hair.

Hair:
Cap: Using hair color, repeat rounds 1-11 of head. Because I crochet so tight, I find it helpful to go up a
hook size to make stretching this over the head easier. Finish off, leaving a very long tail and use this to
secure the hair cap to the head.

Hair style: Following Biz’s instructions for hair in the Pocket BFFs pattern, attach hair and style as desired.

Starfish hair ornament:

In MR, chain 5. (sl st in 2nd chain from hook and next chain, sc in next 2 chains, sl st in MR to secure)x5.
Close MR. Suggest leaving a long tail to attach starfish to head. Attach as desired and weave ends.
