FPGA Implementation of Modified Approximate Lower Triangular Matrix Method for LDPC
Encoding
● Using MIMAS v2 Spartan 6 FPGA Board for implementation of the encoding technique.
● Architecture built using VHDL.
● PCM is separately generated using MATLAB and stored as a binary file in a SD Card.
● The binary data is then accessed using SD Card through the SD Card slot in MIMAS v2
board using VHDL.
● Temporary intermediate results are stored in the SDRAM on the MIMAS v2 board, also
using VHDL.
● The arduino monitors the moisture level of the soil using a moisture sensor.
● When the moisture level drops below a certain predefined threshold, the Arduino switches
on the relay,
● which in turn switches on the motor, which pumps water into the soil, thereby making it
moist.
● The arduino monitors the soil moisture until the soil moisture goes above the threshold, and
once it goes
● above the threshold, the arduino turns off the relay and therefore, the motor turns off.
● Besides, the arduino also sounds and alarm and also displays its current status in a 16X2
LCD.
● A Raspberry Pi with a TFT LCD Screen, running Ubuntu Mate. The interface was coded in
Python, which featured multiple buttons.
● The device was built for teaching English and Bengali Alphabets and basic Maths to
children.
● Pressing associated buttons on the attached keyboard, showed vdeos, how to pronounce a
certain alphabet or how to write it.
● In case of maths, the video being played showed step-by-step process of how to do basic
calculation using illustrations.
● Hexapod, using mini servo motors to control the movement of the legs

Experience
1. Implementation Harris-Affine and Harris-laplace Interest Point Detector using MATLAB.

2. Worked on Image Classification using neural networks, using Tensorflow and
Python,training a VGG-13 net from scratch, obtaining 78.5% Top-1 accuracy and 98.5%
Top-5 accuracy on Test set of STL-10 Dataset.
3. Successfully implemented meta-recognition algorithm in “Towards Open Set for Deep
Networks” using Tensorflow and Python, on the unlabelled images in STL-10 Dataset. (link)
