Our partnership with CASP has been pivotal in getting the members involved in the OU
community and the surrounding Norman area. The members of the fraternity volunteer at
the elementary schools each week to spend time and help influence the children by
playing games with them, help the students with homework and compete in friendly
competitions.
The CASP organization has dedicated so much to the community of Norman, and the
men of ATO are very thankful for the opportunity to spend time and effort into bettering
the future of Norman.
The Delta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega held the first annual ATΩ 5k on April 2,
2017. the event benefited the Community After School Program (CASP) of Norman.
CASP provides educational and nutritional after school programs to over 650 children in
17 elementary schools within the Norman Public School District.
The event was a huge success and we at ATΩ, thank all of our sponsors, participants and
volunteers for all of their hard work!
I am here to announce the 3rd annual installment of our philanthropic efforts to better the
Norman area, called Gatorfest. This year we will be hosting our annual 5k, a tug-of-war
competition, and a newly added carnival set up for all of those who participate. The event
will be held on December 8th, 2018.
The chapter will also be involved in a concert festival in all the proceeds from the tickets
being sold and the food purchased will go to the CASP kids. At the venue the chapter is
also going to accept donations from those in attendance. The music genres include
country, hip-hop and dubstep.
We are looking forward to making the impact on the students that need it the most, and
hope to better the community of Norman as a whole.
We at Alpha Tau Omega know that the children are the future, and our plan is to ensure
that they achieve the success we know that they are capable of. The members of the
fraternity want nothing but success for the students and know that our mentorship and
contributions can help keep them in school.
The great men of ATO strive to motivate them to be the best they can be. These children
are the future of Norman, Oklahoma and even the decision makers of the future. These
connections mean the world to us.
