NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE

NATIONAL SCHOOL DEWORMING DAY

Goodbye Bulate! Makiisa sa sama-sama at sabayang pagpupurga sa lahat ng

estudyante mula Kinder to Grade 6 para maging malusog at masigla ang mga
mag-aaral – Lanise Elementary School with the abetment of the Rural Health
Unit and Barangay Health Workers conducted deworming in concordance to
the National School Deworming Day on January 23, 2017. The said activity was
attended by the pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 6 having Ms. Era Cristine L.
Cabutad, assigned midwife as the facilitator of the activity backed up by three
of the Barangay’s Health Workers, Ms. Vevian Olita, Manilyn Soledad, and
Jocelyn Llido.

At exactly 8:00 in the morning, Ms. Cabutad, midwife arrived at the school and
directly coordinated with the School Principal, Mrs. Flora Gadrinab for the day’s
activity. The teaching staffs of the school prepared the pupils for the
deworming. Hand washing, Feeding and Tooth brushing were done beforehand
in preparation for intake of the medicine. There were few listed pupils who were
not able to took part in the intake comes from the fact that most of them
weren’t able to take proper breakfast and bring their packed meal and others
were having stomach ache and fever. This concern was immediately relayed to
the midwife and both parties agreed upon letting the child have the medicine
the next day and or when they’re getting well.

Aside from the above mentioned concerns, there were no other founded issues
and concerns relating the said activity. It was well ended and teachers were
advised to have constant communication with the parents for immediate
observation on the child to prevent future complications.
All thanks to the Almighty for the success of the administration of the National
School Deworming Day as well as to the people who gave hand in assisting the
activity.
