     Describe the components of Information and Communication Technology

     Differentiate between Hardware and Software, and, Data and Information

    III. Learning Activities
    A. Preparatory Activities
    1. Daily Routine
     Prayer
     Checking of attendance
    2. Review
     Ask the students what do you call the things they see in presentation.
    B. Developmental Activities
    1. Presentation
    Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is similar to
    Information Technology (IT) but focuses primarily on communication
    technology. Information Technology refers to use of computer to store,
    retrieve, transmit and manipulate data or information. ICT also refers to
    technologies that provide access to information through
    telecommunication such as, the internet, wireless networks cell phone
    networks and more.

    Six (6) Components of ICT System


    1. People – are needed to supply or input the data to the system.
    2. Hardware – these are physical components that make up the system.
    3. Software – these are computer programs that will help you to get the
    job done.
    4. Procedures – are series of steps to ensure that the computer system
    executes.
    5. Data – are raw material that needs to be processed.
    6. Information – are output from the processed data.
    2. Generalization
     What is the difference between Hardware and Software?
     What is the difference between Data and Information?
    IV. Evaluation
    Direction: In your own words, choose two from the six components of ICT System
    and describe them.
    V. Assignment
    Research about the different types of data.
