Introduction
Readymix Qatar is a Joint Venture Company, which was established in 1977 in Qatar. The Managing
Partner is LafargeHolcim, a worldwide Group with operations in 90 countries and is a world leader in
building materials. In the Gulf region, Readymix Qatar has associated companies in the U.A.E, Oman and
Kuwait. Readymix Qatar also forms part of a group that includes Qatar Quarry, Qatar Precast and CMC.

Readymix Qatar went into production in March 1978 with one batching plant in the Old Airport area of
Doha and now in 2017 Readymix Qatar operates Sixteen batching plants in ten different locations, this is
complemented with 145 large capacity concrete truck mixers, 35 cement tankers and 27 concrete pumps.
Aggregate deliveries are assisted from within the group via CMC’s fleet of 50 high spec and safety
compliant tippers.

•Since its inception the company has successfully been the supplier to many major projects, Ras Laffan
Industrial City, Musheireb Downtown Doha, Education City for Qatar Foundation, Qatar Primary Route
North Road package, Al Ruwais Port – Phase II, The Barzan On Shore Project and Qatar Rail Project are
to name a few current operations with many more in the pipeline.

Readymix Qatar has carried out pioneering work in the use of microsilica, PFA & GGBS based concrete
mixes, which now have become widely accepted to counter the aggressive conditions encountered by
concrete structures in the Gulf Region.

The company has fully equipped laboratories at each location with fully trained technical staff that are

familiar with Quality Assurance schemes to BS 5750 (ISO 9002) and holds ISO 9001:2008,
ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 39001 road traffic safety management
Certification.

Daewoo Eng & Construction Ltd NSRY
USD $611 million project on 43 hectares of reclaimed land. Comprising of two dry docks,
one dock 400m long x 43m wide and the other 360m long x 66m wide, both with 12m of
water over the sill. The design also includes one floating
dock 230m long x 38m wide with a 20,000 tonne
lift capacity; a quay with six full length berths,
