I want to improve my “Teacher Voice” which includes classroom and behavior management.

I will learn more about verbal and nonverbal strategies, including neutral modification techniques and

try to apply them in the classroom.

I can tell that I achieved my goal from my MST and MCT’s feedback and student’s work.

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

Teacher will begin by greeting the students and performing the “Hello” song.
Whole Time: 15-20 min

Teacher will then go over the attendance with the students by counting and asking them “Who is

absent?” and why?

Teacher will begin the lesson by placing a covered fruit basket in front of her and the students,

teacher will create interest by pretending to think aloud while describing the fruit and asking

students to guess what it is. Teacher will choose random students to come up and support them to

describe the picked fruit.


Teacher will play the memory match game by placing the fruits flashcards upside down and

choosing students who are sitting nicely to come up and play, students will repeat after the teacher

individually then as a whole group.

Teacher will distribute students into different learning centers according to their group names.

Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)

Students in this group will be working independently to sort out the inside of the fruits next to the

correct fruit.

Teacher will provide support (if needed), observe, and ask the students questions while using a

checklist.
Time: 10-15 min

Small

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

Teacher will place the memory match game at the table and allow students to play either

independently or work with their fellow classmates.

Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

Teacher will ask MST, Ms. Hamda, to work with the students at the Arts table where they will be

provided with 7 fruit pictures each and will use clippers to match its corresponding color.

(Formative assessment: MST’s feedback on student’s classroom performance and work)


Time: 5 min Closing
Closing

There’s no closing time, teacher along with Ms. Ebtihal will ask students to clean up and form a

line in front of the door.
