The course that I am currently doing is bachelor of business administration, which is
completed over 3 years' period. This program has covered comprehensive and broad
regions of business such as marketing, human resources, strategic finance and management
& quantitative methods thus helping me to be equipped with all the modern business skills
for professional development and future career. The unit (professional business
communication) places significant focus on understanding the processes
Of professional development, critical thinking, career development and business
communication. Communication is the center of business and the most crucial of all
entrepreneurial skills with the future of business depending upon the qualities of
communication. This capability of transmitting information assists both clients and
employees to feel they can talk to and eventually trust one another. (Charles.1998)

I actually learned that Communication is the procedure of transferring information,


thoughts, and emotions between one person to another whereas Effective communication
extends the idea to require that transmitted content is received and comprehended by
someone in the manner it was meant. The goals of effective communication include
developing a common belief, changing behaviours and acquiring information.
Communication is one of the most crucial skills to hone undoubtedly for any type of

To be successful, it is vital that the receiver attributes the same meaning to the message as

the functions of communication aren't perfect or successful as Sometimes, some indicating
is lost as the message encounters various barriers along its passing between the sender, and
the receiver which is also known as miscommunication. A number of the common issues
that Result in the failing of communication are: language, cultural differences, difficulty of
Subject material, personal biases, semantic problems, socio-psychological barriers, filtering,
information overload, poor retention, poor hearing, goal conflicts, slanting, inferring, etc.
Effective communication between individuals of the similar social background is
complicated and challenging at the best of that time period. Seeking to comprehend and
also have good, effective communication between individuals from different ethnic
backgrounds is even more difficult for me, languages has always been another hurdle to
effective communication. It really is a problem not limited to those individuals who connect
to foreigners who speak a different language from that they speak but also

Being able to communicate and obviously in my own environment and comfort zone
effectively I encountered many challenging obstacles, but it does increase in a different
culture exponentially. Globalization is unavoidable in this full age and day, and having the
ability to therefore communicate in the true face of cultural variety is more important than
ever before. Today’s place of work is diversifying to support different geographical areas
and span numerous cultures. Therefore, it’s hard to comprehend how to effectively talk to
people who rely on different methods to reach a common goal or speak a different
vocabulary. Although, people maybe from the same physical location, there are a few
cultural differences that needs to be put into concern for effective communication to
maintain place. The ability to communicate multi-culturally and effectively is very
Crucial. For active business production relationship, sensitivity to the potential issues of
cross-cultural communication is paramount. To establish a common ground between
enterprises or people, the first step is to set up a communication field. Establishing a
common ground helps in creating productive dialogue between the two parties that will

Throughout the duration of the course, I've learnt an array of skills and knowledge needed
for my professional and job development. For instance, through assignments I've learned to
create research paper to make presentations which has assisted me with succeeding the
classes smoothly and yes it has very essential role in getting me the best job. Furthermore,
this unit hasn’t only helped me to use communication technology but also taught me the
lessons of improving personal and sociable responsibility. It’s very important to understand
who you are, what your motivations, feelings, beliefs, beliefs, culture and inner thoughts are
as you do the communication with others. You will need to body communications and
interpret text messages through the filters or sound that is your ideas as well as your being.
The very best communication happens when both parties along the way are within an
appropriate environment (no distractions, enough personal space, etc.) and are self-aware
enough to be thinking about what the other party is saying. Self-awareness permits a
listening that is free from assumptions and judgments that bargain a wholesome
communication.

Before we're able to pay attention deeply to others, we have to learn how to pay attention

Overall, I've enjoyed my bachelor of business course thoroughly and I would definitely
consider recommending this program to other people who don't mind spending time in
improving communication skills and knowledge which is very essential in today’s modern
day’s business environment. Everything I've discovered within the modules and useful work
has ready me in becoming self-confident and alert to skills had a need to turn me into a
successful business professional’s. The abilities and knowledge
I've learned to have ready me as an employee because each is necessary throughout the
professional and social life as a whole. Finally, I have learned that Communication skills are
crucial for competent performance at work and essential for the successful procedure of
business.
