    What is NSTP?
    • It stands for National Service Training
    Program
    • Created by Republic Act 9163
    • Rule 1 in the IRR of NSTP states:

    “While is the prime duty of the


    government to serve and protect its
    citizens to defend, in turn it shall be the
    responsibility of all citizens to defend the
    security and promote the general welfare
    of the State, and in fulfilment thereof, the
    government may require each citizen to
    render personal, military or civil service”
    Section 2 Rule 1 provides:
    “ In recognition of the vital role of
    the youth in nation-building, the
    State shall promote civic
    consciousness among them and
    shall develop their physical, moral,
    spiritual, intellectual and social and
    advance their involvement in public
    civic affairs”

    NSTP GOAL

    Implementing Guidelines on NSTP
    Policies on Attendance, Uniform
    and Grading System
    A. ATTENDANCE
    * Students must be in EVSU by 7:45 am
    * Checking is done 15 min before and after
    * Beyond 30 min, no score is given and
    marked absent
    * Only 3 sessions is allowed to be absent,
    consecutive or not
    * Excused letters must be presented for absences
    * Late students will clean the grounds for 30 mins

    B. ACCEPTED EXCUSE LETTERS
    * Medical Certificate
    * Written by parents
    * Letter from NSTP Coordinator citing reason
    * For Athletes, letter from coaches with specific date
    * When excused, an equivalent activity should be
    complied with the coordinator

    C. UNIFORM
    * All students are required to wear NSTP Uniform:
    component shirt, pants and rubber shoes
    * Effective September all NSTP students must be wearing
    their NSTP Uniform every formation and activity
    D. MALE STUDENTS
    * Proper haircut must be observed
    * No wearing of earrings
    Note: Failure to comply, means absence from the
    class

    E. GRADING SYSTEM:
    30% Attendance – Physical involvement and Visibility

    40% Class Standing – Exam, Attitude and Class Participation

    30% Project – Group/Individual Accomplishment


    POLICY ON INSTRUCTION
    • ALL ACTIVITIES TO BE CONDUCTED
    OUTSIDE MUST HAVE A PRIOR
    APPROVAL COMPLIANT TO THE CHED
    AND UNIVERSITY ORDERS/POLICY.
    • ALL NSTP TRAININGS MUST BE
    CONDUCTED WITHIN THE CAMPUS. NO
    TRAINING MUST BE CONDUCTED
    OUTSIDE WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM
    THE CAMPUS DIRECTOR AND NSTP
    DIRECTOR.
    NSTP PRIORITY PROGRAM/ACTIVITY
    • Seminar on Violence and Extremism
    • Seminar on Drug Addiction and Prevention
    • Creation of Campus Student Crime Prevention
    • Seminar, Membership and Creation of Red Cross College
    Youth and Red Cross 143 headed by the NSTP Office
    • Leadership Seminar
    • Training on 1st Aid and Basic Life Support spearheaded by
    the NSTP Office
    • NSTP Blood Donation Campaign
    • Book Donation Campaign (September 3-7, 2018)
    • 30 min. Clean-up drive before dismissal of class
    • Other Activities required by the NSTP Office

    • STUDENT COPS

    • DRUM AND BUGGLE CORPS

    • OFFICE ASSISTANT
    NSTP CAMPUS REQUIREMENT
    • SUBMISSION OF ACCOMPLISHMENT
    REPORT ON OR BEFORE 2ND FRIDAY OF
    EVERY MONTH
    • MUST HAVE AN NSTP OFFICE WITH OFFICE
    EQUIPMENT AND DOCUMENTS FILED
    • EVERY NSTP INSTRUCTOR MUST HAVE AN
    INDIVIDUAL FOLDER WITH PDS AND
    CERTIFICATES OF TRAININGS
    • POST IN ITS OFFICE THE ORGANIZATIONAL
    STRUCTURE FOR NSTP.
    • SERIAL NUMBERS OF NSTP STUDENTS
    MUST BE FILED IN THE NSTP OFFICE.
