Project Context
A Payroll System is software designed to organize all the task of a employee payment
and the filling of employee taxes. This tasks can include keeping track of hours, calculating
wages with holding taxes and deductions, printing and delivering checks and paying
employment taxes to the government.
Payroll software often requires very little input from the employer. The employer is
required to input employee wage information and hours—then the software calculates the
information and performed withholdings automatically. Most payroll software is automatically
updated whenever a tax law changes and will remind employers when to file various tax
forms.
Jades Cargo Service Inc. is a cargo shipping company that have a total of 40 branches
nationwide. It was founded by Eduardo B. Ong in August 08, 1988. It was popularly known by
the big companies that need to ship out their cargos. Most of their customers are have a small
or big named in the industry. The services that they offer is the shipment of the cargo by Sea
and Air most specially when it comes from metro manila trough nationwide also they offer door
to door delivery. The company provides all the necessary materials and most probably the trust
their customers they log in the day to day transactions and records of the customers, employees
must need to log in. On August 08, 1988 Most of their customers are business Owner,
Merchandisers, Wholesalers and retailers of different kind. Each worker’s that reports to work
will sign in the log book and write down their presents and time in and out. At the end of the
day the Accountant / owner computes all their working hours in that day performed by the
workers. The company allows the workers to avail cash advances. Certain amount will be
deducted from their salary if worker is absent, late in their duties bonuses, double pay and
overtime of the worker is added in their total salary before the end of the month. For almost 30
years in the industry their process of payroll is still conventional which gives them a lot of
problem. Most of the time, they have a hard time computing the salary of the employees
because the record might loss and not legibly written. Every time they look up the records in the
logbook before they released the salary of each employees it takes a lot of time computing it. In
term of cash advance and day off there are instances that the deductions is forgotten or lost it
can be a big factor to the company we can say that it can be their loss in the future.

Objectives
The object is to give the best satisfaction to the current needs of the business by making
be computerized payroll system that will help them in their business.
Proposed a Payroll System for Jades Cargo Services Inc. for them to compute the wage
of their employee and to provide efficient calculation of employees wages and to prevent any
loss records. Considering a data redundancy nor inconsistency.
To improve their payroll record to accurately record each one of the employee’s salary to
show transparency in the company and the employees according to the record.
Specific Objectives
The study specifically aims to :
To provide a payroll system that will satisfy the needs of Jades Cargo Services Inc.
Objective
 To Compute the salary of the employees.(faster)

 For them Monitor the cash advances of the employee`s together the payments they
made including remaining balance.
 To determine the days of work of the employees, transparent salary record.
 The system will have a log in for an authorized/administrator.
 Provide security Is processing payroll
Scope
 Proving Transaction logs from the HR Department/Manager

 Generate pay slip suing.
 Degree of access.
 Log in log out for admin and user.

Create a payroll system that computes employees salary, taxes, wages, pensions. And
provide a monthly reports and update’s to their system to make sure that the system is
working and collaborated to the company.
Limitations
 The system will not allow the user to edit the record.
 The system is offline.
 The employee(s) are not allowed to view the data without the permission of the
administrator.
 The system cannot be operated unless you’re not the company’s administrator
