other locale as it is notably anchored on the following advantages:

Green Thumb Alley is a healthful and salubrious food business venture that targets

to cater its customers vegetable-centered dishes in an environment filled with beautiful

and beneficial indoor plants that are also available for sale to its clients. It offers wide

variety of organic vegetable meal courses prepared to promote a healthy diet and lifestyle

option to every person.

Aside from the vegetable-themed foods, myriad of indoor plants with several health

benefits are showcased and offered to its customers for sale, not only did the plants help

design the interior part of the restaurant it will also serve its individual duties as a useful

V. Major Assumptions

The whole feasibility study is anchored on the following major assumptions:

A. Management Aspect

The management aspect provides a clear and precise identification of

duties and responsibilities, flow of authority and manpower level requirement. It

must be set up for optimum effectiveness. To achieve these, management must

be able to plan all activities, for the company to become productive and competitive

industry through human resource, financial capability and new technologies. The

central idea of management is to make every action or decision help achieve a


careful chosen goal. The word management is also used to mean the group of

persons called executives who perform management activities.

Green Thumb Alley is a sole proprietorship because it is easy to set up, it

requires minimal amount of capital, it has a lower cost in registering for government

permits and licenses and all the income of the business is taxed on the owner's

personal tax return only and not taxed as a separate entity. The total start-up

capital amounts P2,500,000. The projected return on investment is within five

years. The manager will hold key positions of the company such as Operations

Department and Disbursing Department. The company has devised a list of

policies, rules, and regulations that must be followed by the employees. The

organizational structure is composed of manager, cashier, accountant, disbursing

officer, cook and crew. They have different functions necessary to run the business

and they will be compensated according to the provisions of law.

The pre-operating activities were performed from June to December 8,

2018. The normal operation of the business will commence on December 9, 2019.

They have complied with the legal requirements set by the governing body and are

qualified to form a company that provides digital photography, events photography,

videography, and on-call photography services by the accreditations given by the

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and

by the business permits given by Manila City hall.

The target location of the business is assumed strategic as it is

placed in residential areas, as well as schools and various establishments.

Also, the location is vacant as of the date of inquiry, August 3, 2018 (date

of contract of lease). In case that the location is occupied prior to the

expected commencement of the business, the feasibility study shall pursue

its target location date. A lease of contract was entered into with the owner

of the commercial space which amounts to a monthly rental fee of Php

80,000. Utilities such as water and electricity are assumed to be acquired

and to be paid accordingly on time. It is further assumed to acquire the

necessary supplies, and equipment needed in its operations, at an excellent

quality with a price deemed reasonable. Enough quantity of raw materials

needed in the production/operation are provided by the suppliers. In

addition, labor requirement is met to efficaciously operate the business. As

per the architect’s floor plan, the establishment is partitioned into 25.5

square meters store area (50%) and 25.5 square meters administrative area

(50%). The business is expected to operate 12 hours from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00

p.m. everyday.

Green Thumb will be beneficial to the society since it creates

opportunities for new jobs. The restaurant itself offers organic and
vegetarian dishes that will serve as a go-to place for vegetarians and health

conscious folks.

Our project will also be beneficial to the government with regards to

tax matters. Additional funds may help the government on assisting its

projects through which the people’s welfare will be given more emphasis.
