1st THING TO DO IN EDMONTON WITH KIDS:
Travel back in time at Fort Edmonton Park
This is one of the city’s Existing History Park. Have a ride on Old steam train and take a
voyage to ancient days at Fort Edmonton. There are re-created historical streets of 18 th
century and replica of 1846 Fort. This is open regular hours in spring and summers

WITH KIDS:
Visit the biggest mall in North
America- West Edmonton Mall
This is one of the biggest malls in North
America and no trip in Edmonton is
complete without a stop to West Edmonton
Mall. This includes world-class theme
parks including indoor Tropical World

Waterpark, the Ice place, NHL size Huge indoor skating rink, Galaxyland amusement park,
and Ropes Quest. The mall is spread over 48 city blocks with over 800 stores and 100
eating places and a lot of fun-filled places for kids.

Aviation Museum

Alberta Aviation Museum covers


spectacles of 30-plus historical
aircraft, 40 display cabinets, and an

and more. Perfect for kids who love transit and travel. Starting in June, there are a drop-in
program for kids ages 3 to 8 that runs on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm
to 1 pm. No registration is required. The drop-in program is free

Museum

The Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) is one


of Canada’s leading museums of human
and natural history. Located in Edmonton,
the museum collects, preserves,

Hear stories of existence and victory covering over 11,000 years in the Syncrude Gallery of
Aboriginal Culture, and then discover the world from a centipede’s perspective in the Bug
Room. Programs for kids abound, including the Discovery Room, which features puppets,
puzzles and dress-up costumes.

UOA Botanic Garden ( Devonian Botanic Garden)

The University of Alberta Botanic Garden (formerly


the Devonian Botanic Garden) is a stunning 240-acre
property located in Parkland County, 15 minutes
southwest of Edmonton, with cultivated gardens and
plant collections, indoor show houses, and an
extensive nature trail system.

If your family loves nature, you will have fun at the Devonian Botanic Garden which
includes succulents, tropical butterflies and orchids. Garden also features nature trails and
ecological wetland reserves. There is something for every age at this garden. Families can
celebrate Birthday parties and even kids can join summer camps. Educators can have field
trips.

Kismen Grizzly Bear Lodge park

Grizzly Bear Lodge has so many play structures to play on that kids are going to be easily
entertained for hours, whether they are toddlers or tweens. There is a Grizzly bear climber,
caves and climbing rope features, and cool slides. There are four park areas to explore and
you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the city! Kids can have a splash at Kismen Spray
Park too.
