    Rick pours Ilsa a glass and hands it to her.
    RICK: "Who are you really? What were
    you before? What did you do, and what
    did you think?" ILSA: "We said no
    questions." Rick pours himself a glass.
    RICK: "Here's looking at you, kid." The two
    raise their glasses and drink.

    At home, Ilsa tosses a franc in her hands.
    ILSA: "A franc for your thoughts."
    RICK: "In America, they'd bring only a
    penny." ILSA: "I guess that's about all
    they're worth." Ilsa sits down. RICK: "Well,
    I'm willing to be overcharged." ILSA: "Tell
    me." RICK: "Well, I was wondering." ILSA:
    "Yes?" RICK: "Why I'm so lucky. Why I
    should find you waiting for me to come
    along."
    ILSA: "Why is there no other man in my
    life?" RICK: "Uh-huh." ILSA: "That's easy.
    There was. He's dead."
    RICK: "I'm sorry for asking. I forgot. We
    said no questions." ILSA: "Well, only one
    answer can take care of all of our
    questions." The two kiss.
    German soliders drive through Paris.
    Horses march through France.
    A long line of vehicles drive through
    France.
    A German tank quickly drives by.
    A war plane flies through the sky.
