The Concept
The process of "BRIQUETTING" is the physical transformation of the loose raw material briquettes through a compactly compressed
unit. The form change results in a much higher material which increases its Burning time as compare loose material. Biomass

Briquetting Press Features :


Briquetting Press is die and punch type mechanical press with two y wheels. One y wheel is driven by belts with Motor. Filtered & cooled
lubrication oil is supplied by pump through p.pipes. Material is continuously fed through a hopper by means of a vertical feeder with its own gear
box and a motor. Regulated feed to the press is provided by independently driven screw through exible pulley/drive on motor. From feeding
chamber material is compressed by ram through taper bore die. Briquettes comes out from cooling line. Total process is Continuous & Controled by
panel. Briquetting Press is used for binder less production of high density fuel briquettes i.e. "biocoal" from all types of degradeable biomass.
Residues & wastes such as groundnut shell, wood waste, baggasse (sugar cane stalk), cotton shell/stalk, mustard husk/straw, co ee husk, pine
needle, saw dust etc. Acceptable moisture in raw material of briquetting is 8-12%.

Flash Dryer Features :


Dryer is designed to reduce moisture from 25% to 10% which is suitable for briquetting. With the help of furnace, heat is generated for drying the
material. By screw conveyor, raw material is transported in to pneumatic conveyline in the presence of hot air. Dried material is collected by cyclone.
Flash dryer is used for suspension drying of powdery, ground or granulated material such as saw dust, coir pith and bagasse pith which are usually
materials with moisture content of 25% of less.
Our basic turbo dryer system consists of Screw Conveying line including insulated drying column and conveyor through which wet material is
transported in the presence of hot air to the cyclone. A powerful low pressure centrifugal fan assures su cient resilience time for complete removal
of excess moisture.

Rotary Drum Dryer Features :


Rotary Drum Dryer is designed to dry the material which contains high moisture up to 50% and more. Heat is generated by hot air generator by
wood/Briquetts. Material is conveyed by screw at feeding point. Material spread by lifters in horizontal shell. Hot air is sucked by fan through shell in
the presence of wet material. At end point material comes out with the help of cyclone & Rotary valve with required moisture .Evaporated moisture
goes in atmosphere by sucking fan. Various models are available as per moisture / production requirement. Material is acceptable in 25 mm length
8-10 mm width & 2-3 mm thickness. Total system is automated & moisture in material is adjustable as per requirement in various sectors.

Chipper cum Grinder Features :


Chipper cum grinder which chips & grinds the long material (dry & wet) in to required size for briquetting in single action. This is suitable for any
type forest waste, cottons stalks, tree bark, sun ower waste & stalks, coconut waste, mustard stalks etc. Material is conveyed on a belt driven by
geared motor. Output size is adjustable by changing screen. Chipped material can be fed for ne grinding in hammer mill grinder. Blades can
re-sharp by surface grinder or hand grinder.

Mixture Features : Hammer Mill Grinder Features :


To mix any di erent type materials as per required percentage for two or three material to make better quality of briquettes. Mixtures can be used to Hammer Mill is used for grinding of biomass waste & residues such as rice husk, groundnut shell, wood chips, cotton shell, mustard husk, sugar cane

Material is fed through feeding conveyor into wide in-feed opening of Hammer Mill. Swinging hammer takes the material into grinding chamber to
crush the material on to the stationary liners before driving them through a screen at the bottom. Size of screen and hammers determine the size of
crushed particles. Material at bottom is sucked by pneumatic system and conveyed to cyclone. Material is then ready for densi cation by
briquetting.

Incentives
Incentives by the Government The government of india has announced series of incentives for promoting this project for
installing such plants to the entire printers engaged in developing alternative energy source.
The major incentives are: * Income tax Exemption for rst ve years. under section 80(JJA).
* 100% Depreciation: The total value of plant and machinery is allowed to be depreciated in the rst year. * Excise Exemption: The solid
fuel briquettes are completely exempted from Excise duty. The Government is also considering exemption in the case of plant and
machinery. * Licences: The whole industry of non conventional energy sources has been exempted for obtaining licences in many states.
*The Central and State Government provide subsidies. * Low rate of interest from govt. nancial institutions.
Viability: The viability of manufacturing briquettes is tremendous as the demand of energy is increasing day by day and vise versa the
supply of natural fossil fuel is limited. Moreover government of india has also announced series of incentives for promoting this project for
installing Briquetting plants as the entire world is engaged in developing alternative energy source. It is promoted to the industries as a
prime renewable energy project throughout the world. The project gives excellent viability. The total payback period of the project is apx. 2
year. It is pollution free and no hazard in this project. It is eco friendly renewable green energy project.

Economical than other fuels


It is more economical than other fuels because it contains low moisture, low ash, high density. It is very easy for handling, transporting
storage. It is cheaper than heavy furnace oil, steam coal , re wood etc.
