Founder

and the need for upgrading human competencies to meet
that challenge.

The graduates from this program will be skilled in


five strands that makes a difference to business -
1) leadership competencies including how to use
leadership psychometrics, develop leadership compe-
tencies and coaching, 2) use of analytics, evidence based
HR and managing technology, 3) creating and changing
culture for aligning the organization to strategy,
4) designing, and changing organizational structure to
meet strategy using contemporary organizational
development (OD) techniques, and 5) strong industrial
relations and negotiation skills.

Program Structure
The PGDM-HR is divided into six trimesters spread over
two years of the Program. During the first three terms of
the first year, all students study courses related to Human
Resource Management with few elementary courses
related to other disciplines like Marketing, Operation
Management, Information System Management and
Finance. It also covers courses related to use of
management techniques in business, business
communication, basics of people management
processes, use of HR tools and measurement ,
communication for persuasion and negotiation.

For PGDM-HR, TAPMI has partnered with Strategic Human
Resource Management India, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of the Society for Human Resource Management (see
www.SHRM.org). TAPMI, in collaboration with SHRM India
will train all students to take the SHRM Certified
Professionals (SHRM CP) Global Certification, the most
coveted HR certification for HR professionals. TAPMI will
embed the content of the certification in the PGDM-HR
program. Of course, each student is responsible for
meeting the criteria of SHRM including passing the
certification examination.

extensive research-driven HR education programs.
SHRM’s education program is aligned to global standards
and provides the students with a wide range of skills not

individual members. By partnering with SHRM India, TAPMI

Alumni Relations Committee of TAPMI is the bridge between
the alumni and the Institute. ARC engages with the alumni
through city meets, international meets and batch meets. It

ATHARVA
Atharva, the flagship annual B-school Festival of TAPMI, holds

Cultural Committee
Cultural Committee at TAPMI, with its motto "The Stage is

ESPRIT
Esprit, the quizzing committee of T. A. Pai Management

The Bloomberg Championship


The Bloomberg Championship program is an off-site

The Finance Forum at TAPMI is an initiative to create a vibrant

alumni and faculty and provides a multitude of leadership

HR Forum
The HR Forum hosts TAPMI's flagship event DISHA, the annual
conclave where distinguished industry leaders in the HR
domain interact with students. It also hosts 5 events:
Embauche - the hiring simulation, Vrondi - the Mock press,

Literary and Media Committee


One of the most active committees of TAPMI is the Literary
and Media Committee, popularly known as LiMe. A range of
creative pursuits finds expression here, from content writing
to digital marketing, designing and merchandising. The

Sports Committee
The Sports Committee of TAPMI is managed by a group of

Student Executive Council


The Student Executive Council (SEC) acts as a bridge between
the student body and the administration in matters of

SEC is to facilitate the smooth functioning of all the student
activities at TAPMI. Members of SEC serve as student
representatives on the Strategy Planning Group (SPG) along

TAPMI Systems Group


TAPMI Systems Group provides a platform to gain insights
about the latest technological trends in the industry.
Workshops on various Business Intelligence tools required in
the industry like Tableau, R and Google analytics are
conducted, providing exposure to the IT and Analytics
domain and making students industry- ready.

The Marketing Forum


The Marketing Forum aims to help the students of marketing
gain expertise in their field through numerous events such as
M-Power and sessions conducted by the in-house faculty

Toastmasters
Since its inception in 2013, the TAPMI Toastmasters Club,

The oldest committee in TAPMI with a legacy of 31 years,


Atharva organizes TAPMI’s annual fest with over 1500
participants from across 50 B-schools. With “inFINity” in

“Sankalp” in Business Planning, “Xpressions” – the
cultural night and Run for a Cause Marathon, Atharva
provides an exciting platform for students to interact with

The HR committee conducts DISHA, the 3-day annual HR

MANEESHI is an initiative launched by Omega, the

SCOPE, the flagship event of the Operations Forum of


TAPMI, is a 2-day Operations Conclave that aims to
enhance the student interaction with the industry experts
through a series of panel discussions, lecture series,
competitions like case study challenge and quiz and Q&A
sessions. With events such as Battle of States, Canvas,
and Ops Quiz, SCOPE provides a platform for the students
to showcase their analytic prowess and knowledge.

SPEED

SPEED is the Annual Sports Extravaganza at TAPMI. Played


in the format of the Olympics, the fest lasts for more than
a month. Students form teams and battle it out in 12
different sports like Athletics, Swimming, Basketball, Table
Tennis, Volleyball, Football, and Cricket. SPEED gives an
opportunity to develop and enhance leadership skills,
sportsmanship, teamwork, and more importantly grow as
an individual in the process.
