    Faith and Light International

    Assessment and Priorities List

    Assessment 2013-2018

    In 2013, a certain number of priorities were set down by the General Assembly. Now four
    years on from that, we would like to evaluate the implementation of the priorities.

    1. In general
    a) How are the communities and provinces doing today?
    Well, but actual we need young people and people who will be activated in our
    community.

    2. Community Support (Accompaniment? Formation?)


    a) Do the communities feel supported enough within the current structures?
    b) Have any problems arisen with them? What are they?
    c) Has the new discernment/election process, which uses nominating committees
    improved the selection and appointment of provincial teams (coordinators, vice-
    coordinators)? Please give some details and explanations.
    Smatram da zajednice osjećaju podršku te da nisu same. U manjim sredinama
    zajednice su većim dijelom dio lokalne, župne zajednice. Veći gradovi pridonose
    osamljivanju određenih zajednica, opet ne svih.
    Imenovanje zamjenskih koordinatora (vicekoordinatora) treba više aktualizirati I
    njihove aktivnosti aktivirati.

    3. Openness (Ecumenism? Relationship with l'Arche?/other associations)


    a) Are the communities open to ecumenism?
    b) Do the communities have any links with l’Arche communities in their provinces?
    c) Do the communities have any links with other associations in their provinces?
    d) Is Faith & Light attractive to families with children with a handicap (considering that
    the society is now leaning more towards inclusion in schools and in society than
    before?)
    U našoj zemlji zajednice se polako otvaraju ekumenizmu, međutim još smo
    poluzatvoreni. Postoji suradnja/ povezanost Vjere I svjetla I Arke, kroz susrete. Naši
    prijatelji s teškoćama članovi su i udruga lokalne zajednice. Smatramo da Vjera I svjetla
    nije atraktivna obitelji s djecom s hendikepom, s obzirom da zadnjih godina nemamo
    nove članove- obitelji s djecom u zajednici.

    4. Activities / Flagship events 2013-2018


    a) Between 2013 and 2017, there have been a number of provincial assemblies and
    international formations. How would you describe your experience of these events?
    b) What fruits have been reaped by these assemblies and formations?
    c) Were these events energising to the life of Faith and Light?
    d) Are there any other activities that have brought life to Faith and Light?

    e) Please relate any comments from the August 2017 Guardamar, Spain, Youth meeting
    participants.
    Zajednički susreti, okupljanja, formacije potaknu nas više na značenje Vjere I svjetla u
    našim životima. Na tim se susretima osjećamo življima I daju nam dodatni poticaj za
    daljne aktivnosti u zajednicama.
    5. Leadership
    a) How do the provinces feel about their geographical areas?

    6. Vision
    Do we have a clear vision for Faith and Light for the next 10 years? Do we all have the
    same vision?

    7. Other priorities
    a) Concerning all the other points listed among the priorities in 2013, do you feel that
    they were accepted and put into practice? (Refer to Year 2013 Priorities attached)

    Priorities 2018-2023

    In order to prepare the General Assembly in Lebanon where the priorities for the next 5-year
    period will be voted, it is important to begin reflecting on what are those priorities we need
    to suggest in July 2018.

    1. What do the communities and provinces need in order to be more vividly alive and
    more welcoming?
    Privući mlade ljude koji će se aktivnije uključiti u život same zajednice.
    2. Formation
    What level of formation (the community, provincial or international) helps you spread
    important information so that it reaches all the communities?
    Formacija na razini države doprinijeti će širenju, dijeljenju međusobnih radosti I
    poteškoća uz obostrano razumijevanje.

    3. Mission and Identity


    Between 2013 and 2018, youth meetings and other gatherings/meetings were held that
    brought us together. For the 2018-2023 period, how can we give a boost to the spirit in
    the communities and provinces to keep Faith and Light “appetising”?
     How can Faith and Light be more attractive to young people? To young families?
     How can communities of Faith and Light manifest their charisma and gifts to put them
    at the service of the movement, the church, and society?
    Prvi je korak omogućiti da se mladi i mlade obitelji s djecom s teškoćama upoznaju s
    postojanjem zajednice Vjera I svjetla, kroz predstavljanje, uključivanje u određene aktivnosti
    na razini lokalne zajednice. Kada upoznaju “srce- duhovnost” same zajednice, upoznaju osobe
    s teškoćama, njihove darove, njihovu ljubav- novi članovi postanu dijelitelji/dionici duhovnosti
    Vjere I svjetla.

    4. 50th anniversary
    Your suggestions on how we celebrate our Faith and Light Golden Jubilee in Year 2021?
    Zajedničkim okupljanjem na svojem izvorištu.

    5. Youth Meetings
     Do such events re-energise the life of Faith and Light?
     What are the main points raised by the young people present in Guardamar, Spain
    that would be good to put in the list of priorities for the whole movement?
    Susreti mladih Vjere I svjetla predivan su način uključivanja mladih u aktivnosti same
    zajednice. Na tim susretima mladi bivaju zahvaćeni, dobivaju novi polet, snagu za daljne
    aktivnosti.

    6. Code of Conduct
    Should we pay more attention to the protection of persons with disabilities from
    abusers?

    7. Other points
    Are there any other issues that you would like us to take into consideration for the
    priorities for 2018-2023?
