WEATHER
Typical weather hazards associated with hilly terrain are turbulence due to
strong winds blowing through the valleys, updrafts on the windward side and
downdrafts on leeward side of mountains. Orographic clouds may exist near the
peaks that reduce visibility and cause turbulence. Thermal clouds - Cumulus &
Cumulonimbus clouds - may exist on top of hills. Icing conditions due to humid-
ity and low temperatures could be prevalent during winter season. Radiation Fog
in the valleys may be encountered reducing visibility.

SPECIA

For Jet aircraft, landings are permitted only on RWY 08. Turboprop aircraft can
land on RWY 26 under VMC.
Take-off from RWY 08 is prohibited for all types of aircraft.
