This thesis describes the development of a comic book as a learning medium for geography materials for 11th grade students in Indonesia. The researcher created the comic to simplify complex geography topics related to forest resource management and sustainable development principles. The development process involved collecting data, planning, drafting the comic, validating the product with experts, testing it with students, and revising based on feedback. The results showed the comic was an effective learning tool, with 85.5% of students finding it efficient to use and 88.2% finding it appealing. Students' comprehension test scores averaged 91.7%, demonstrating the comic facilitated their understanding of the materials.

Developing comic as learning media is based on some problems happened
on geography materials which are wide and complex. This caused difficulties for some students so that it needs more appropriate learning media. Printed learning media such as textbooks are not easily understood since those are packed in verbal form. On the other hand, the complex and wide materials need to be simplified with the help of appropriate learning media. One of the media is comic. Comic has the potential to simplify the materials through pictures and simple conversations. Besides, comic can be the most favorable reading materilas and suitable with the psychological condition of high scholl students since it is entertaining. Although there have been some developments on comic by the previous developers, there are still some weaknesses needed to be repaired through the next development process. This research and development aims at creating a better product in the form of comic as learning media. This media is focused on forestry resources management on the principals of sustainable development based on the materials in National Curriculum 2015. The comic is produced in A5 paper printed form. The procedure of development used in this research is adapting a model by Borg and Gall (1989). The result of modifying the procedure consists of 6 steps, namely: 1) research and data collection, 2) planning, 3) development of products draft, 4) product validation, 5) initial field try out, 6) revision on try out result so that it acquires the final product. The result of field try out wa analyzed descriptively through scoring procedures, recapitulation, and percentage calculation. After the procedures of development conducted, a good product was created after undergoing revisions which relying on the suggestions given by the media and material experts. From the research, it can be concluded that the development done in this study covers the quality of the product and the references for the betterment. Based on the presentation result on dominant recipients of the students, the efficiency aspect was responded as big as 85.5% and product appeal as big as 88.2%. Both are qualified superb. Likewise, the comprehension test scores were percentaged 91.7% and 85 as the average score from 12 students (trial subject). While the product revision was done on six important points based on the suggestions given by the validators, that is 4 points aspects of media and 2 points aspects of material.
