SOCCER
Recreational Soccer Information:
Program Description:
Recreational soccer (6-week duration) is intended to provide an opportunity for new players to begin
their soccer careers or for continuing players who want to commit to a shorter, less intensive season
with a primary focus on the pure fun of learning and playing the great game of soccer. The
Recreational Soccer program is led by the coaches who are volunteers. Teams are formed primarily
around the neighborhood school/residential zone, and there are often multiple teams in each. All
games will be played in-town at the Morgan Cline Sports Complex (All Play).
Age Divisions Offered:
6U, 8U
Program Dates:
Parents Meeting: 8/24/17; 5:30pm-6:30pm at the YMCA
Registration Dates: 7/17/17-8/17/17; Late Fee of $20.00 will be accepted until 8/27/17.
Practice Starts: 9/11/17; Times are TBD
Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays with optional Fridays.
Games Start/End: 9/23/17; All games will be on Saturday.
*Game Schedules are TBD.
Fees: (*All players need YMCA jerseys $15.00)
Member- $32.00
Non-Member- $48.00
Travel Soccer Information:
Travel soccer (8-week duration) is intended to provide an opportunity for advanced players to
continue their soccer careers in a more competitive setting than recreational soccer. These players
are registered through the Iowa Soccer Association (ISA) by the YMCA and will travel to play other
teams. The Travel Soccer program is led by coaches who are volunteers, that must be registered
through ISA, as well.
10U, 12U, 15U,19U
Program Dates:
Registration Deadline: 7/17/17-8/17/17; Late fee of $20.00 will be accepted until 8/27/17.
Practice Starts: 8/28/17; Times are TBD
Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays with optional Fridays.
Games Start/End: 9/9/17; All games will be on Saturday.
Game Schedules are TBD.
Fees: (*All players need YMCA jerseys $20.00-includes shorts, socks, and jersey)
o $68.00 for all
FOOTBALL
Flag Football Information:
Flag football (6-week duration) is intended to provide an opportunity for players to engage in fun,
friendly competition, while learning basic football fundamentals and the value of teamwork.
1st-2nd Grade; 3rd-4th Grade
Program Dates:
Evaluations: 8/27/17; Held at Morgan Cline Sports Complex (All Play)
3rd-4th ONLY 8/27/17 3:00pm-5:00pm

Tackle Football Information:
Tackle football (6-week duration) is intended to provide an opportunity for players to engage in fun,
friendly competition, enhance your skills, and practice the value of teamwork while building
relationships with others your peers.
5th-6th Grade
Program Dates:
Evaluations: 8/26/17; Held at Morgan Cline Sports Complex (All Play)
5th and 6th Grade 1:00pm-3:00pm
Practice Starts: 8/29/17; Times are TBD.
Practices will be Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional Fridays.
Equipment Check-Outs: 8/29/17; Equipment will be passed out at the first practice.
Games Start/End: 9/17/17; All games will be played on Sundays
5th and 6th will play at 2:00pm-3:30pm; 3:30pm-5:00pm
Fees: (Helmets, pads, chin straps, and jerseys provided.)
o $65.00 for all

SWIM TEAM
Swim team offers a competitive and recreational program. The competitive team and recreational
team will practice with each other, but the competitive team will travel to meets. It is important to
note that participants must know how to swim and perform strokes properly before being registered
for either swim team program. You MUST be a member of the Rathbun Lake Area YMCA.
6-19 years old
Program Dates:
Registration Deadline: 8/17/17-9/17/17
Parents Meeting: 10/2/17 at 6:00pm at the YMCA
Stroke Evaluations: 10/2/17
o Immediately following the parents meeting
o Required for both recreational and competitive
Start Date: 10/2/17; Times TBD
Practice times and dates are TBD.
o Recreational:
Practices two times/week
YMCA Members ONLY (Youth Memberships are $15.00/month)

o Competitive Team:

$130.00/ $120.00 for each additional child
