Fire fighters wanted!
We need more day time volunteer fire fighters to keep our town safe!
If you spend your daytime hours in Plimmerton you can do our
training … men, women, 16 to 60, all shapes and sizes are welcome.
It’s safe, fun and a great way to help your neighbours and
community … perhaps by saving their lives!

Café corner barrier
Our classy new barrier looks terrific…thanks to landscape architect
Linda Kerkmeester and Ian Barlow for making it happen. When we
get some warmer weather the shops will be painted in a ‘soft
Mediterranean’ colour scheme to complement the paving.
Doggy bag dispensers
Three doggy bag dispensers will be placed here very soon with bio-
degradable bags in our little parks and at the domain … thanks for
your feedback. And thanks too to our great operations teams at
PCC. No more excuses for not picking up your doggy doo doos!

physiotherapist and occupational therapist offering professional
advice. Wheelchairs, bathroom equipment, walkers, crutches,

Burglaries and tagging
Keep your eyes open
There have been several serious break-ins and tagging incidents here
lately and Police would appreciate us keeping alert and reporting all
vehicles and individuals seen lurking. Take care to lock your
property and watch out for your neighbours’ security.
Bird feeders … help our feathered friends
New World is selling great bird feeders to hang in trees. Great
entertainment for those at home sick … flocks of birds flitting
through your trees and enjoying a tuck in. Lovely.
Be a responsible dog owner
Check out Kapi Mana for details … register your dog before August
1st and save money … responsible dog owners keep their furbabies
safe on fenced properties, walk them daily, pick up all doggy doo
doos and register them on time. Of course they also enjoy them as
part of their family and keep them well fed, warm and healthy.

Congrats to our local fire brigade!
In the DomPost July 1 … dramatic rescue by Plimmerton fire-
fighters of 7 month old black lab pup Milo who had was found
cowering on a ledge 5 metres down a cliff, with a 12 metre drop, on
Gordon Road. Well done team … especially Steve Le Prou who was
lowered down to pluck Milo the cliff-hanger from the ledge!
