Why is the mean that you obtained from part (iv) above different from the mean you
calculated in part (i)?

Answer:
There is slight deviation in the values of both means calculated when data is
ungrouped and when data is grouped. In finding the mean of ungrouped distribution,
a list was made where each data is paired up with the number of times that data
occurs, summation of all these products which was subsequently divided by total
frequency will give exact mean of scores. In grouped distribution, mean was
calculated from multiplying midpoint of each class with a given class interval by its
frequency. Hence, this gives a mean not as accurate as in direct summation of
ungrouped distribution.
