A. Thesis statement: In Lord of the Flies, William Golding creates the fictional
character Ralph, who is motivated by bravery, friends and rescue.

Body Paragraph #1
A. Topic sentence: Ralph is bravery, he tries to help his friends best as he can.
B. Supporting evidence:
i. From the chapter eleven Ralph choose to go to Jacks place to get Piggy
glasses back.
ii. When they think there is the beast on the island, Ralph decide to go up to
the mountain to look for the beast and kill them with Jack and Simon.
iii. From chapter twelve, Ralph go to Jack castle by himself to try to help
Samneric even if he will get hunt my Jack.
C. Clincher sentence: Ralph truly represent bravery.

A. Topic sentence: Ralph always think and care about his friends and want all to
get rescue from the island together.
i. From chapter ten Ralph ask Piggy and is all right from fighting with person
from Jacks group.
ii. From chapter twelve Ralph decide to go by himself to see Samneric that
got caught by Jack and torture to follow Jack.
iii. Ralph always help Piggy and the kids that still stay in his team no matter
how hard it is.
C. Clincher sentence: He always care about his friends take care of them for most of
the time and try to protect them for the best as he can.

A. Topic sentence: Ralph always think about how to get them all rescue from the
island.
i. From the chapter two he try to make fire to make a smoke so when the boat
pass through them and they see all of the boys will get rescue.
ii. He always told all of the kids to keep a signal fire go on.
iii. He tries to tell Jack to make a signal fire no matter how its dangerous to
him.
C. Clincher sentence: Ralph always find the ways to get all of the kids rescue.
V. Conclusion
A. Rephrased thesis statement: Ralph was created to represent Bravery,
Friends and Rescue. William Gilding create Ralph to represent these three things.

In the book Lord of the Flies there are many characters and each characters represent
different things, some may represent savagery some may represent intelligent and some
represent bravery like Ralph. In Lord of the Flies, William Golding creates the fictional
character Ralph, who is motivated by bravery, friends and rescue. So, Ralph is one of the best
choice of characters to talk about. Also, Ralph is one of the important character thats run the
story. Ralph may represent some others characteristics like leadership or something else but
these three things are the main three characteristics that Ralph show out the most in the story.
Ralph is bravery, he tries his best to help his friends almost every times. There are many
chapters that shows Ralph bravery, from chapter eleven Ralph choose to go to Jacks castle
rock to get Piggy glasses that steal by Jacks tribe back, Golding explain They set off along
the beach in formation. Ralph went first, limping a little, his spear carried over one
shoulder. (p.173). The others time is when they think there is the beast on the island, Ralph
decide to go up to the mountain to look for the beast and kill them with Jack and Simon he
also tell others to wait down the mountain to make sure no one will get hurt. Last example is
on chapter twelve, Ralph go to Jacks castle again by himself alone to try to help Samneric
even if he will get hunt by Jack. These all of the example show that Ralph truly represent
bravery.
Ralph always think and care about his friends and want all to get rescue from the island
together. For example, from chapter ten Ralph ask Piggy and is all right from fighting with
person from Jacks group and this shows that Ralph care about his friend even if at that time
he gets hurt too. On chapter twelve Ralph decide to go by himself to see Samneric that got
caught by Jack and torture to follow Jack rules and everything to just ask them what have
Jack done to them and ask them to escape from this place with him, Ralph say to the twins

Wont you came with me? Three of uswed stand a chance (p.189). Also Ralph always
help Piggy and the kids that still stay in his team no matter how hard it is. From all above
show that he always cares about his friends take care of them for most of the time and try to
protect them for the best as he can.
Ralph always think about how to get them all rescue from the island. Like on chapter two
he tries to make fire to make a smoke so when the boat passes through them and they see the
smoke that come from the island all of the boys will get rescue. Ralph will always tell all of
the kids to keep a signal fire go on at the first chapter of the book when they first came to the
island, Ralph say Theres another thing. We can help them to find us. If a ship comes near
the island they may not notice us. So we must make a fire. (p.38). At nearly to the end of the
book he tries to tell Jack to make a signal fire no matter how its dangerous to him to go to
see Jack, he just wants everyone to get rescue. All of the example that have told above show
that Ralph always find the ways to get all of them get rescue from the island.
Ralph was created to represent Bravery, Friends and Rescue. Golding create Ralph to
represent these three things like Ralph is the representative of this three characteristics. In
Lord of the Flies Golding has been write each character to show each characteristics in people
in the world. Ralph is the person that have three characteristics that good leader might have
and he have been chosen to be a leader of the group, but he still missing some of
characteristic too. So, from what you have read from the paragraph below what do you think
