Happy Quacks vision is to become the leading supplier of
Duck and Quail eggs in Zambales and nearby provinces.
MISSION STATEMENT
To
satisfy
customers
with
good
quality
of
eggs
and
services. Profitability and growth will be achieved through

optimum
product
mix,
efficient
production,
humane
animal
treatment and employee development in a safe and supportive

work environment.
Happy Quacks will undergo expansion after a year through
constructing additional building and adding parent stocks for
the purpose of increasing their production to supply larger
amount in the demand supply gap.
CHAPTER 1
A. INTRODUCTION
Duck raising has been practiced in the Philippines
for such a long time that nobody can say exactly when it
started. It was introduced here by early Chinese traders.
The Spaniards found it already a thriving industry in
Pateros, Rizal, which is still the centre of the duck in
the Philippines. (Fronda, 1972)
Duck raising is the most profitable and economical
agri-business today as it needs only a simple operation

this makes it a very good business deal to venture in as
it is of enormous benefits and it cannot be underestimate
in a home meal for better health development and natural
cure diseases.
In recent years, quail raising for egg production
is slowly gaining popularity. In 1999 quail population is
estimated at 1.6 M. This is projected to grow to 2.4 in
2003.
Despite
the
lack
of
information
on
feeding
and
management of quails, some entrepreneurs have invested in

commercial quail production. Some quail farmers are now
keeping populations of 10,000 to 80,000 birds. However,
majority of the quail raiser are still the smallhold or
hobbyist
types.
As
an
emerging
agricultural
activity,
wide opportunities for the development and organization

of its production system remain.
Quail farming business is very easy, lucrative and
entertaining. Its very easy to maintain a quail farm,
because quails are among the smallest species of poultry
birds.
The
Japanese
scientists
first
tamed the
wild
quails and revealed the ways to raise them as domestic

birds.
Commercial
quail
farming
in
Japan
has
spread
tremendously. Now, people throughout the world performing

quail farming business commercially for the purpose of
meat and egg production.

ventures,

future use of some beginners whose interest lies on poultry
business.
