-----------------------------------------------http://wizardforums.com/Thread-How-to-Use-the-Powers-of-Darkness
I have found the following 6 books to be more than sufficient for me.
How to Use the Powers of Darkness
Miracle of New Avatar Power
Amazing Secrets of New Avatar Power
Mystic Grimoire of Mighty Spells & Rituals
Necronomicon (aka. Simonomicon)
Necronomicon Spellbook
***How to use the Powers of Dakness is the only thing I've ever read by Brodsky
and I kept it. Because it works.

Peter Carroll. I think his Liber Null and Psychonaut is a must read for everyone
, followed by Liber Kaos.
Jason Miller and Rufus Opus.
The sorcerer's secret was the book that introduced me how to work low magick eff
ectively.
Rufus is the reason I am about to start Planatary initiations, which is the next
step in my Path.
Caselius
The Ocean Sorcerer
Kama Sutra and Skittles nutritional value
Draja Mickaharic
The same attributes as Draja Mickaharic is the late Basil Crouch aka Basil LaCro
ix although Crouch is more oriented toward black magic.
Franz Bardon obviously.
F. Rivas Neto - Exu, O Grande Arcano
Its worth reading, because its author explains about the grade of Exu(there are t
hree). its a great book of magic...
I would recommend "The book of Exu" The mystery revealed by Rubens Saraceni...
These books have been written in Portuguese, but, its worth learning the language
, because the books are great...
S.L. Macgregor Mathers. Easily. His rituals, his syncretism, his Enocian Magic,
his outline for attainment, his base correspondences for the Tree, the Alphabet
and the Cards. Because of him I am inspired to study his source material and he
obviously isnt perfect but his influence is astounding.
Arthur Edward Waite. From his books on kabbalah to his Tarot Deck and book.To hi
s translations of Eliphas Levi and the writings of Paracelseus to his Hermetic M
useum.
Joseph C. Lisiewski. Everything this guy puts out is both sobering and brilliant
.
Rnatal /Ljatal from Hvaml
My first book on visualization had a large impact. I don't even remember which i
t was.
Gavin and Yavon Frost - The Magical Power of Witchcraft
Paul Hunson - Mastering Witchcraft.
Carl Nagel - Demonic and sexual Magic
lol Crouch? Finbarr is a joke. Finbarr is not a joke. It's a commercial enterpri
se that publishes books from a variety of authors. Basil Crouch had students and
a publishing career completely apart from Finbarr anyway. Crouch's Finbarr book
s are excellent, but have you read his booklets that were not published by Finba
rr? As with Mickaharic, Crouch shares unique magical knowledge, including some o
f the blackest magic.
Raymond Buckland. Weird name to see here but he was one of the first authors I r
ead on real magick. He basically got me from 0 to 60. Everyone else has been bui
lding on that foundation.
Mickaharic's book vaguely discusses the possibility of using the astral body to
take over another body, and he says it must be done quickly after one dies. As I
said, this is not an initiated perspective. As can be clear when comparing it w
ith real esoteric streams. It is neither the White Work (an immortal astral body
), nor the Red (indicated above).
E.A. Koetting really taught me a lot early on and inspired me to dig as deep as
I have into the occult. Koetting is a scammer but he's not a fake.
I'm in agreement with Hagen. A lot of books have inspired me and helped me along
the way. But nothing was 100% correct or relevant for my practice. Here are som
e books I do appreciate however:
Hoodoo Herb and Root Magic
Sorcerer's Secrets
Financial Sorcery
Protection and Reversal Magic
Exu and the Quimbanda of Night and Fire
Pomba Gira and the Quimbanda of Mbumba Nzila
Witches' Book of the Dead (got my feet wet in Necromancy, but I don't really rec
ommend it anymore because I know better)
The Satanic Bible
Book of Abrasax
The Book of St Cyprian (Jose Leito)
A Witches' Bible
Mastering Witchcraft
William Alexander Oribello
William Alexander Oribello - The Master Book of Spiritual Power
if i had to name only a magickal grammar for western occultism, liber 777 by ale
ister crowley. EVERYTHING you need to know about occult kabbalism is in there. t
he full explanation of what it all means is given by daniel hale feldman in his
book qabalah: the mystical heritage of the children of abraham, which you can fi
nd at his site workofthechariot.com.
those two books explain western occultism in a much simpler and more straightfor
ward way than anything else i have come across, save enochian vision magick by l
on duquette and liber null by peter carroll.
Robert Bruce. Simple and straightforward.
Stephen E. Flowers - Hermetic Magic
Steve Savedow - Magician's Workbook
Dragon Rouge has several occult authors in their ranks and I highly recommend lo
oking into their works.
They've probably lost more than they have, since lodges both in Sweden and the r
est of Europe have left Dragon Rouge after it turned into a fan club and money-m
aking scheme. It's such a shame.
Rubens Saraceni - The book of Exu" The mystery revealed
JK Rowling
Modern Magick
Levi books
Crowleys books
Jason Miller
Manly P Hall
Dion Fortune
Fosforos- Johannes Nefastos
Gilles De Laval
Michael Ford
Anton Lavey
Howard and Jackson - Pillars of Tubal Cain
Spare - All of his written material, it would likely clock in at under 200 pages
.
Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa and his Three Books of Occult Philosophy
Joe Peterson's website, http://www.esotericarchives.com where he has Agrippa's "
Three Books of Occult Philosophy" with a fast search function.

If you are intreseted in the Kabalah, and other aproeach to the runes I would re
comend you Thomas Karlsson. His Uthark book, and His book on the Qliphotic Kabba
la, I thing are marvelous.
I recommend Mark Alan Smith and Primal Craft.
Samuel Sagan and his Atlantean Secrets series - http://www.clairvision.org/ good
introduction to meditation an inner pathways introspection from a non-theistic
approach.
For brazilian spiritism you can read Allan Kardec's books. Brazilian necromancy
is heavily based on The Spirit's Book.
