SYNOPSIS
SPRING SEPARATOR works under the principle of Centrifugal Force. Many of the
manufacturing products have Compression Spiral Springs. In storage they collide each other.
These collides compression spiral springs are segregated manually now a days, which
takes more time to segregate and not accurate since the colliding between the compression
spiral springs are not visible to the eye sight. To avoid these problems, we design an equipment
spring separator, which is very useful. It is also economic and time saving in segregating the
collided Compression Spiral Springs.
INDRODUCTION
SPRING SEPARATOR is a product which helps in segregating the Collided springs.
Manufacturing products such as Electrical Switches, Bulbs, Meters, and Speedo Meters of
vehicles, Pens and some of the Electrical Appliances have Compression Spiral Springs.
Manufacturing industries, which manufacture such type of product, May require
Compression Spiral Springs in enormous amount. So such type of industries keeps the
Compression Spiral Springs in stock by storing them.
So due to storage they get collide with each other. Separating them manually is a time
consuming process. It is not that easy to separate small minute springs manually. By using a
spring separator these springs can be separated easily and quickly. Therefore, Spring Separator
can be used here for segregating the collided springs considering the economic and time saving
aspects instead of separating manually, which is done now a day.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
SPRING SEPARATOR works under the principle of centrifugal force.
CENTRIFUGAL FORCE:
Centrifugal force is the force that acts radically away from the center of the circular
path. It is the reactive force to the centrifugal force.
springs are put together inside the spring separator from top of the container. The collided
springs directly hits on the splitting flange which is rotating in the speed of 2880 Rpm. Since
the splitting flange is directly fitted to motor spindle.
The spring which is on the either side of the splitting flange gives rotating force on the
collided springs. This gets a jerk to the springs and starts collapsing. Therefore they segregate
one by one then the pinge push the spring to the stud and the stud pushes it to the opening on
the container. Then the spring comes out through the conveyor when ever the shutter is opened.
This is how the spring separator works.
