Title : Industry Visit

Introduction: Our honorable teachers of Textile Engineering department


give us an amazing opportunity to know about textile industry. In 12 th july
2015 we got our chance to visit an industry named Comfit Composite Knit
Ltd Gorai, Mirzapur. We started our journey by bus early in the morning
at 7am with our honorable teacher Abdullah al mamun and Priti Sarkar.
Though it was a little cloudy weather , we enjoyed it a lot. After one and half
our we finally reached there. We got a warm welcome from the authority
and told us about their shortly. Then we divided into three groups and each
group was co-ordinated by their 3 engineers(names) They take us in
different section such as garments, dyeing, fabric etc. of the whole
industry. Details about the industry and dyeing section is in the following.
Comfit Composite knit Ltd. a 100 % export oriented composite knit textile unit established
with the commitment to cater the Global needs for knit and casual clothing. The Project has
employed the State-of-Art technology in its every piece of investments. Aiming at the context of
the changing Global demand pattern, international environment on trade specially the
withdrawal of quota system and GSP and the availability of craftsmanship in the country, the
project encompassed the Knitting, Dyeing and Processing of fabrics and Ready-made Garments
production to be available from one stop service. The Project ensures sampling to supply of
finished RMG all from one source, ensuing in time delivery and complying quality. The
machines and equipments setup for these projects are procured from world-class brand, names
renowned for their high quality, product integrity and dependable production.
The Project is a new and one established in 2006, but the manpower engaged in the Projects to
carry out the day to day business are all highly skilled, purely professional, vastly experienced.
The unique combination of organized Managerial and Technical team in one hand and latest,
advanced and balanced technology on the other hand made the project one of the top to be
referred in this field in the Country. The best use of continuous development of Human
Resources by providing them International Standard Environment and equal opportunity is the
keys for achieving comprehensive competence in all the level of the Organizational Hierarchy.
Comfit has been established with the objective and vision to cater the needs of 21st century of
world wide knit apparels market from one stop service being committed to On-time
Delivery, Short Lead Time, Quality Assurance, Price Affordability and Social
Accountability.
Project Location:
The Project is located in Gorai, Mirzapur under the District of Tangail, about 50 kilometer
distance from the International Airport of Dhaka, Bangladesh. A well developed Road
Communication is there to reach the factory from the Airport as well as from the Dhaka City.
The Head office of the Project is Located in the heart of Dhaka City in Mirpur. CCKL is
established in a 45 Acores land premises and in a 250,000 square feet total industrial building
area.

Readymade Garments:
The Garments section consumes fabrics entirely from its own source. The Garments Section has
the capacity of producing various Knit Garments as follows:
- T-Shirts, Polo Shirts, Ladies Wear, Sports Wear, Tank Tops, Kids Wear.
The support for printing, organized from associated projects.

Knitting: The Unit has the strength to produce various types of Fabrics, like:

Lock or Design Interlock, Feeder Stripe, Engineering Stripe, Lycra
attachment, Flat Knit Collar & Cuff making with half jacquard dryer

Dyeing Section

Wet processing: The process used are desizing, scouring, bleaching, dyeing,printing and finishing, which
are combinely called wet processing.

Dyeing Specification:
Dyeing:The process by which a textile material is to change physically or chemically,sothat it looks mono
uniform colored, is called dyeing.
Objects of Dyeing:
a) The textile materials are dyed uniformly
b) To increase the attractiveness of the textile goods
c) To make the fabric suitable for next process

Function:
1) It burns the projecting fibers in the fabric surface. In a word it removes hairiness.

The textile industry which visited by us there also a ETP and WTP-

ETP(effluent treatment plant):


Function: We know that after wet processing the used water is polluted, so it need to be environment
friendly. In a ETP water treated chemically and biologically, and turn it in to environment friendly.

WTP(Water treatment plant):
Function: Before dyeing water may be hard or contain many chemical which are harmful for dyeing.So
before dyeing water treatment with different chemical in WTP to remove this problem.
As our visited textile industry is knit composit there also knitting machine-
