Hi! Can someone please answer this for me? I UNinstalled this Acrobat program be
cause I had some problems with installing it properly. It appears as though the
serial number I entered is still stored somewhere on the computer, since when I
reinstalled it, it only asked me to validate, not enter my serial number, althou
gh it still said it was a trial version. I don't understand. Anyway, I neglected
to save the serial number I used from the generator so now I don't have a match
ing serial with the request code or whatever it is. Help? Is there a file I can
delete or something so I'm starting off fresh? I thought uninstalling would do i
t, but I guess not. I'm running Mountain Lion. Thanks!

This video shows you how to edict the host files. I still used the suggested com
mand provided in the instructions for this torrent, instead of the commands past
ed below the video, in case the ones in the video are outdated. Further, it told
me I wasn't allowed to change the original host document, so I duplicated it, d
ragged the original to copy to my desktop (to have as backup in case), and then
deleted the original inside the private folder and saved the duplicate as host t
o replace it. So far, my internet works and adobe works.

Okay, update. That didn't work. It still attempted to activate and invalidated m
y serial, so not sure if you should just use the code provided in the video, or
what. Sorry!

User:xintbp, over on PB gave excellent instructions and it got it to work for me
!
"Ok guys, I think a lot of people are confused about the KeyGen process from X-F
orce,
This is how you do it.. because I myself wasted 1 day figuring this out.. and it
finally worked. Steps 1 through 5 is very important.. if you couldn't do this u
ninstall and re-install adobe without the internet connection.
1. Install your Adobe Pro.. DO NOT OPEN it see below when to open it.
2. run your key gen x-force
3. generate a serial number and copy it somewhere (textpad/notepad..etc)
3. close x-Force make sure you have the serial if not re-open and generate anoth
er.
4. disconnect your internet connection. (both wifi and cable if you have.
5. NOW OPEN your adobe, and open any pdf.. after few mins it will ask you to act
ivate stating you have "xx" number of days before you can activate it. Select En
ter License ...
6.(Double check you are not on the internet) Now enter the copied Serial Number
on to the licensing field..
7. It will complain stating internet connection is not found ..bla bla bla. just
ignore it. and Select Activate Later
8. Close your Adobe.. (CMD + Q to quit the app all together _
9. Still make sure your internet is down...
10. Re-open adobe and now again select product registration under help, if it do
esn't pop open.. This time it will state "internet connection problem offline Ac
tivate.. or something similar "
11. now when you press that a long crazy "request code is generated" Copy this t
o the same doc/textpad/notepad where you copied your "serial number" on step 3.
12. NOW re-open x-Force and copy/paste the Serial and the request code from step
11 above. (make sure you delete the "Press generate or paste serial here" and "
Paste request code here" before you paste them.
13. Press "gen. activation code" this should generate the code you need to copy
it back to the adobe activation process.
13. YOUR INTERNET still should be DISCONNECTED. copy the generated "activation c
ode" back to adobe and press activate
14. now adobe will state it is activated.
15. Quit Adobe,
16. edit your hosts file (I am not going to describe that process as its describ
ed below) and add the loop back info 127.0.0.1 .... and connect your internet.
17. Re-Open the adobe and now it should stop complaining.."
Hope This Helps!

i am pretty good with Mac OSX but even I am confused with the instructions and c
annot get this to work. Once installed Adobe validated the serial number and kic
ked it back as invalid. Now the program won't work. Please take the time to expl
ain exactly what we have to do in terminal and exactly lay it out step by step i
nstead of assuming that everyone knows what to do and how to do it. Thanks for t
he efforts.

I did change the HOST FILE and it's still asking for validation when I open a pd
f file. It thinks I'm still using trial. So, I followed instructions to throw aw
ay files in Library/Application Support/Abobe/SLCashe & SLStore what am I doing
wrong?
