------Scene starts with an ambulance going to the hospital. Insert clip of heart nga nistop ug

Intro narration: even the things that give you life can severely hurt you the most.
Mine, you ask? Its my heart.
(narration starts as the scene shows Cassandra preparing, from her room, all the
way to the clinic)
Hi, my name is Cassandra. Im living with a congenital heart condition. Hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy, according to my doctor. Its a disease in which the heart muscle is abnormally
thickened. This thickened muscle makes it harder for the heart to pump blood. Normally, the
right atrium receives the deoxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava. Then
blood will be pumped to the right ventricle, to be pumped to the lungs for oxygenation. From the
lungs, the left atrium will receive oxygenated blood, then will be pumped to the left ventricle.
From there, the blood will be pumped to the whole body.
Well, my heart has already failed to do its normal function to supply blood. But will it also fail to
love as one normally could?
------------(GB having her check up after operation)
Doc. Anderson:According to your tests, the septum of your heart has thinned already, unlike the
one before you had the surgery where the septum doesnt look so good. Anyway, there arent
any obstructions in your heart, and your heart rate is normal.
But looking again at your physical examination, you still have mitral valve regurgitation, which
means that there is a backward blood flow through the mitral valve into the left atrium
during systole.
Lately, have you been experiencing dizziness or chest pains? (GB answers no)
Thats good to hear. Always remember everything Ive said to you even before. Dont overwork
yourself. Keep yourself away from stressful situations as possible. Medications please dont
miss. Always watch what you eat. Remember, your diet will also affect your heart condition.
Brisk walking might be beneficial, but dont go overboard with yourself.

(street child comes into scene with puppy eyes effect char. Bata will kalabit GB to catch her
attention)
Street child: Ako nalang ice candy be

(they both look at the street child. GB made gesture to BB that they should just give the ice
candy to bata)
GB: Here you go.
Street child: YAY
(bata will run away. GB tries to walk away but BB stops her)
Maemphasize iyang pretty face and matameme si BB
Mulakaw na padung si GB
BB: Hey! uh, are you in a hurry? Would you like to have some ice cream instead? I know a good
place. (pakita sa 20 pesos)
GB: well, I guess I could spare some time. sure, why not. (
(they walk together. Pigil-kilig parin si BB)
(scene shows the two of them eating ice cream while chit-chatting.)
(GBs phone rings. Mom calling. GB answers)
GB: Mom just called. I had a great time with you but I gotta go. Bye!
(GB hurries off. GB exits the scene)
BB: Wait I didnt get your name yet okay there she goes and I forgot to ask her name.
(deep sigh of regret. Focus on the face BB)

GFriend 1: Pleeeeaaaase just this once you have to come with us.
GFriend 2: yeah, you need to chill.
GFriend 3: Girl, you have to come with us. Youve been spacing out lately. You look so stressed.
GB: but these kinds of parties have, you know, those kinds of drinks. What if mom will find out.
GFriend 2:I know what you mean, girl. Dont worry, there wont be any of those. Promise.
GB: Promise?

GB: well, okay then. Count me in.

GB: hey, I thought there would be no drinks?
GFriend 1: Party without drinks? Thats impossible. DRINK!

GB: Hey its you again
BB: yeah, hi! We meet again.
GFriend 2: So, you two have met. Hmmm I smell something fishy.
GB: no no no, its not like that. We just met because we fought over an ice candy
BB: and we gave it to a street child eventually
GB: and then he invited me for an ice cream
BB: to make up for the ice candy thing. Thats just it.
(awkward silence)
GFriend 2: okay, okay, I believe you both. (sarcastic but friendly tone)

BFriend 1: why dont you join us here?

GFriend 2: thats a great idea.
(Gfriends come over. GFriend 3 carries with her a glass of ladies drink for GB)
GFriend 3: (to GB) Girl, have some of this. (hands to her the ladies drink)
GB: does this have any alcohol?
GFriend 1: (grins) no alcohol for you! Drink. Drink. Drink.
GB: okay. (gulps down the drink)
GFriend 1: Good?
GB: This is isnt so bad.
GFriend 3: see, I told you. Theres nothing in it.
TRANSITIONS; GB is tipsy already (clip= increase heart rate); Party scene; BB is also drinking
and smoking outside (clip of plaque formation leading to fatty streak); then party scene
(GFriends come to the both of them and drag to dance)
(next frame shows everyones dancing. GB is dancing. Insert clip=increase heart rate.)
(next frame shows GB cellphone. Mom is calling)
(next frame shifts to GB. She suddenly felt chest pain. >>insert lang ug mga clips sa heart <<
GB holds on to BBs shoulder before she faints. BB notices GB and as GB faints, BB catches
her. Commotion takes place. BFriend 2 will call an ambulance. BB will try to revive GB)
(next frame shows an ambulance going to the hospital.)

(mom and dad rushing in the hospital. Then the mom scolded GFs friends; drama na ang
tanan.)
ER Nurse: excuse me, are you the parents of GB?
Dad: Yes, we are. Hows our daughter?
ER Doctor: GBs parents, right? Her condition has progressed to become obstructive. We need
to run more tests. By the way, Doc. Anderson wants to talk to you. (Pause a bit) Ill excuse

(scene starts with parents at GB doctors office listening to his explanation.)
Mom: doc what happened to my daughter?
Doc.: (showing the results of echocardiograph) your daughter has shown asymmetric
hypertrophy of the septum compared to the lateral wall of the left ventricle. (Insert the video of
echocardiogram) This simply means that the septum of her heart has thickened enough to
cause an obstruction on the left ventricle. As seen here in her echocardiogram, there is an
increase of the left ventricular outflow tract due to the thickening of the septum. This is
dangerous because this might lead to further failure of the heart and can heighten the risk of
sudden cardiac death.
Your daughter has also shown a presence of systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve. This
means that the mitral valve in the left ventricle is moving anteriorly toward the hypertrophied
septum during systole. This causes the murmur heard when we listened to the heart sounds. In

addition, there is enlargement of the left atrium due to the heart valve lesions that prevents the
atrium from emptying adequately into the left ventricle with excess damming of the blood in the
left atrium.
Mom: So, what are we going do now?
Doc. Anderson: To avoid this further obstruction, I suggest that we will do a septal myectomy.
We should do this as soon as possible to avoid further complications and to reduce the risk of
developing sudden cardiac death.
(Showing the sad and worried face of the parents)
---(after the explanation of the doctor, scene shows clips of a patient going to the operation
room. And if possible, another clip of ongoing surgery to show that GB underwent surgery)
---(Next scene shows GB lying on the bed. On the room are the parents and friends present.
Frame shifts to BB peeking inside. BB becomes boy maoy)
---(next frame shows BB drinking. Show the many bottles of alcoholic drinks with pulutan para
naay fatty foods. Insert clip of further increase of plaque size forming fibrous plaque. Frame
shifts to BB showing mild chest pain. BB disregards and continues drinking.)
---(next frame shows BB inside the private room where GB lies. GB still unconscious)
BB: do you know how it feels like to be in love. That feeling that your day wont be complete
without a text message from the one you love? That feeling that when a cold, rainy day will feel
warm because of that persons smile? (holds GBs hand) That feeling when you know that
everything will be okay because you know you are with the right person? I know you wouldnt
understand what I feel. And Im not expecting that you will feel the same way. But GB, (pigil-iyak
voice) I think I already like you. (BB whispers) please wake up.
---while BB is talking
Flashback: moment scene ni girl and boy. Accidental meeting sa park, Ordering foods, Rain
scene, papicture sa Christmas tree, and other nga pwede pa ma.insert if naa pay time.
(Kini tanan, point of view ra ni BB.)
-----After dayun sa pag.ingon ni BB nga, 'please wake up.'
next frame shows GB. She opens her eyes. Parents call the doctor. Doctor comes with nurse.
PE and stuff

(scene starts with BB and friend still drinking plus smoking. Insert clip of increased BP,
increased HR, increased blood flow, then ultimately rupture of the plaque, causing blockage of
vessel. Frame shifts to BB showing having chest pain with accompanied SOB; disregards it. BB
walks away. While walking, BB shows severe chest pain. Insert clip of decrease blood flow, then
ischemia. BB faints, unconscious. friend will call the ambulance)
(frame shows ambulance to hospital. Nay gi-rush.)
(next frame shows GB received a txt. GB shows an alarmed expression and rushes out.)

((scene starts with ER people reviving BB; defibrillator. then flat line. Insert a clip of animated
heart nga dili na marevive. Deads na si BB.)
(GB is at the ER with all friends. Emotional ang lahat. )
(while nag moment si Cassandra and friends, ER Doctors voice will take over the
explanation)
narration
ER Doctor: The patient died because of myocardial infarction, otherwise known as
heart attack. We found out that the patient has developed ischemia in the left
ventricle due to a blockage in the left anterior descending artery. The block was
caused by a ruptured atherosclerotic plaque.

<GB in the room. Crying.>

GB remembers (insert short flashback of the line where BB said I like you. part. (scene
focuses on crying/emotional GB)
GB: Why didnt you just tell me? Why did you just leave me hanging like that?

This organ deserves to be styled the starting point of life and the sun of our microcosm just as
much as the sun deserves to be styled the heart of the world. For it is by the heart's vigorous
beat that the blood is moved, perfected, activated, and protected from injury and coagulation.
The heart is the tutelary deity of the body, the basis of life, the source of all things, carrying out
its function of nourishing, warming, and activating body as a whole. But we shall more fittingly
speak of these matters when we consider the final cause of this kind of movement.
