Noticeable Features

7/18/2013

The pressure of the units can be set up to 1.5 bars

more than the nominal working pressure.
All models are operable between -10 C and 50 C
ambient temperatures.
Optional cold start and aftercooler options can
widen this operable temperature range.
With direct-drive transmission, transmission losses
are reduced up to 4% as well as vibration and noise
levels are decreased remarkably.
With the large fuel tank, the units can operate up to
16 hours continuously.
4

Noticeable Features

7/18/2013

With geared airends, HPA 500 & HPA 1000 can

be modified to produce air at 7,10 and 12 bars.
Lightest mobile compressors in the market.
50-50% water and antifreeze ratio in expansion
tank makes safe and continuous working in low
and high temperatures.
Thanks to factory installed pre&after fuel filter
and sedimenter sets, the engine is protected
from low quality fuel.
5

Noticeable Features

7/18/2013

High battery capacities (HPA 340&500-75Ah, HPA

640-92Ah, HPA 1000-136Ah) continuously provide
sufficient cranking power in low temperatures.
Capable of powering 2 (HPA 340-500), 3 (HPA 640)
and 4 (HPA 1000) pneumatic breakers
simultaneously.
Engine cylinder volumes are 1500cc (HPA 340-500),
2400cc (HPA 640) & 3800cc (HPA 1000).
Lowest idling speeds in the market. (HPA 340-500
1400 rpm, HPA 640-1000 1300 rpm)

Airend

18.07.2013

The air-end unit on HPA series is a

single stage, oil injected and positive
displacement unit.
In all models, Gardner Denvers highly
efficient Enduro series geared (HPA
500-1000) & 1:1 arranged (HPA 340640) airends are used.

The air-end unit is composed of two special constructed rotors

that operate parallel to each other, the bearings of rotors and
rotor chassis / body that maintains these rotors.

10

Drive System

18.07.2013

The system is composed of

chassis, air-end unit, engine and
coupling.
KUBOTAs four-cylinder, watercooled
and
turbo-charged
(except HPA 340) diesel engines
are are used for directly driving
the airend rotors via a gear or 1:1 transmission with flexible
axial coupling.
The direct-drive mechanism is up to 4% more efficient than
the belt-pulley mechanism and it is almost maintenancefree.
11

Air Suction System

18.07.2013

Suction control system is composed of intake valve, pressure

controller, control air line hoses and pneumatic control piston.
The aim of suction control system is to operate the compressor in
most economic way.
When the demanded pressure value is reached, it starts to closeing the
intake valve and speeds down the engine proportional to demanded air.
Compressor has a wide regulation range thanks to this intelligent capacity
control system.
When the compressor is stopped, the pressure in the separator tank aims
to turn the air-end in opposite direction. The intake valve at this moment
operates as a check valve and closes air-end inlet and prevents the
backward rotation of air-end and splashing of the oil backwards.

12

Air Suction System

18.07.2013

The air sucked into the system is divided into

two after the intake filter: one for diesel
engine, one for compressor unit.
The intake filter status can be checked via a

dust indicator .
High capacity general purpose Mann Hummel
air intake filters are employed.
13

Discharge System

18.07.2013

Discharge system is composed of

air-end unit, separator tank,
separator, minimum pressure valve
and scavenge line.
The oil contamination in the air
eleminated in seperator tank. This
process contains:
centrifugal forces
expansion
filtration of oil vapor

14

Discharge System

18.07.2013

The oil-air mixture in the separator tank goes to the

separator filter. The separator filter keeps the particles
by its structural property.
The oil under separator passes through the scavenge line by the
pressure difference between tank and air-end unit is sent back to
air-end unit.
The minimum pressure valve on the valve block keeps the
pressure in the oil tank at minimum 4 bars when the compressor
is running. This valve is also prevents the return of compressed
air from line to compressor during the compressor is switched off
or operating at idle.
In case the air-end discharge temperature reaches 108 0C,
compressor is stopped for high tempereture alarm.

maintenance period warning messages.
18

Fuel Filtering

18.07.2013

Three stage diesel fuel filtering is employed.

In the first stage, a general purpose filter is placed at
the inlet of the fuel tank.

In the second stage, more aggressive filtering is realized

via sedimenter filter. Water and other particles inside
the fuel are mostly swept away in this stage.
Before the inlet of the engine fuel injectors third stage

of filtering occurs via another general purpose

Mann filter.
